Please be calm and read the sticky post at the head of the forum that airodyssey linked to for you. Understand these spam referrers do not in any way affect your blog’s Google page ranking, and there is no security risk here, to you or to your blog.The motive these spam referrers have is to get your to click the link so don't do it and don't post the link and you won't be helping them airodyssey has flagged this thread so it gets Staff attention and so the URL is removed.

But is there any way (except common sense...) to tell who is spammy without following the link?

I know that for email spam there are blacklists kept by ISPs, and they share info about this.

Does anyone know of any site on the Internet that lists spam referrers, so I can look up without been 'seen'?

Are they sploggers stealing content from your blog? You can see summaries of your referrers by clicking on the word (on your stats page): 7 Days 30 Days Quarter Year All Time to see how long a referrer has been around.

It seems doubtful that this is connected with the downtime last week.
