Some themes have this "author profile" feature but most don't.

You can remove all the information found here > Users > My Profile in the "About you" section. That will remove it form appearance below your posts and also remove it from your gravatar profile.

Or your can choose a theme that doesn't have this feature. See here for selection of another theme that does not have this feature http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

Good morning. Today, I upgraded my WordPress site (skinny-fats.com) and changed to the Yoko theme. At the bottom each post is a blurb about the authors. I do not have the authors widget activated, and I do not want this blurb at the end of each post. I can't figure out how to delete the author blurb. Is there something I am missing? Please help.

Won't that get rid of the info in the 'About' me section as well?

...it won't erase anything on your About page. The Profile About and the About Page are separate. It's usually best to keep the Profile version of your About lailaduran to fewer than 200 words.

I apologize for not being clear when I posted baove. You can either do as I stated above or you can switch to using a theme that does not display an author profile (most don't). Those are your only two options. See > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

If the themes are designed to show the author profile, then all blogs associated with the account will display it.

You can delete the information under Users—>My Public Profile—>About You. But then it wouldn't appear on either of your sites.

You could transfer the obit blog to another account

I am so sorry for all of my questions. I was wondering, is it possible to set it up so that the posts would not show the author info at the bottom. I have to blogs set up under the same account - on for my digital magazine's daily blogs and now this one http://thezonemagacelebrationoflife.wordpress.com/2012/03/10/doe-john-test/ where we will be posting obituaries/memorials. I want "The Zone Magazine" info to appear at the bottom of my regular daily blogs (www.thezonemag.wordpress.com) but not on the obituary site. Is this possible?

Thanks again for any assistance you can provide!
