I am on a MacBook Pro and using Safari. When I inspected the element (right sidebar) I found what you mentioned and was able to delete it there, but not permanently.

I have found this advice on another forum page:

but I don't know where to find the code or how to delete it, should I try this? can you advise?

yes I just wanted the black menu to be on each page of the site...

What do you mean two-column? With a sidebar? With two columns of text for the content?

What I am trying to achieve:

- remove dates from the featured slider
- remove 'recent articles and more articles' from front page
- remove the need for a widget where I have the calendar (if I remove the calendar oxygen replaces it with another widget!
- be able to make the pages two columns (apart from front page 'showcase theme')

Also go here > Settings > Reading and confirm that the number of posts you have set to display on your front page is a high enough number to account for the items the 4 column display.

that had relevant information about hiding the excerpt content on the homepage, and I was wondering if it was possible to extrapolate that idea and a) remove the sidebar instead of the excerpt content and b) do it on a page that wasn't the homepage.

I'm at http://featherbyfeather.com/ and I'd like to hide the sidebar on the about page: http://featherbyfeather.com/about/

I tried changing the code from the forum for manipulating just the homepage from:

.home .entry-content p {
display:none;
}

to:

.about .entry-content p {
display:none;
}

to see if the entry content would disappear from the about page, but no dice.
