Hi, I created the account ireneqianning previously, but I have forgotten the email and password that I used for it. Is it possible if the staff can send me the resetting password link?

Also, the domain ireneqianning.wordpress.com has also been 'reserved'? I created it under the account ireneqianning. Is it possible for me to have my WordPress account back? This is urgent, thank you :)

When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

You are not logged in under the scottreadsit username account. You can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and if required click the "Need More Help" link and complete the form for account recovery.

@TheSacredPath- Is there any chance that when I set up the .ORG account with the username NicholeMoisant I simultaneously reserved/restricted the username/URL on the .COM site? May 2012 seems to be about the time I set up the .ORG username.

10 months ago, someone signed up for the username, nicholemoisant ( http://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/nicholemoisant ) but they did not get the blog associated with that username. When that happens, to prevent misunderstandings and confusion, WordPress.com will reserve that blog address (URL) for them.

Unless you could find contact information for the user, and get them to transfer the account and blog to you, you are probably out of luck.

Couple of questions:

1. The address nicholemoisant.wordpress.com shows reserved. I own the domain nicholemoisant.com. Is there any way to gain access to this username/site?

2. I have several wordpress blogs, but I also have 2 (that I can find) usernames. Is there anyway to combine my usernames so that all my blogs show up under the same dashboard/account?

There is already an account under the name: "youcannotlose". This means that this account has the privilege to create a blog within that name, that's why it's reserved. Feel free to choose a different blog name.

Well, I thought maybe they could give me the domain as the original user hasn't shown much activity (I figured how to check his profile a bit after writing the first post)

User oonofre asked about getting the registered domain anselmi in 2009, about a year later user anselmi had already signed up to wordpress. That's an 1-year inactivity. And it has been 6 years that user zerocomics hasn't used his domain ( http://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/zerocomics ). And I can't find a way to contact that user directly, so I still think contacting the support and asking if they can analyse this situation is worth a try :D

I would suggest coming up with another title. Staff will not contact the user and ask him to give up the domain.

Hello, I just created my WP account and although I want to keep my nickname zerocordeiro I wanted to have the domain "zerocomics.wordpress.com" because my main use of the site will be to post comics and drawings, but I can't because it is reserved. I can't find a way to contact the user who has this nickname (wich would reserve the address for his account) and he/she (if anyone really) hasn't even created the blog, so is this address really reserved for someone, could I have it transfered to my account or should I give up?

You cannot access any blog and work on it unless you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog.

I own both the artforcures.org domain and the .com; I have had them both for years. We started in 2007.

It says the site doesn't exist and the name is reserved.

The name is trademarked and I don't have the name of the person who reserved it. For all I know, I reserved it under a different email and don't remember. I have no idea how to find out if they won't release the information.

Is there a reverse lookup? If I give them my information, can they verify it against their records without breaching the privacy policy?

Since you have some sort of company a custom domain name is more professional - however artforcures.com & .org are taken

Just to be clear about this blogs belong to the people who register them. When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username.

if you did not register the username then your business does not own the blog URL the person who registered it does. As long as they are not impersonating you and your business then they have done nothing wrong.

There is no expiration date on blogs unused or otherwise. If you can make contact on your own with the owner of an unused blog then there is a means of a consenting blog owner to transfer the blog to another username account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account In the case that there is no contact information Staff will not breach the privacy policy and provide you with an email address.

if you are not successful, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

I just tried to make a blog for my nonprofit using my registered business name, Art for Cures, but was told it was reserved. How can I find out why it is reserved and by who? I own the name and would like it released for use. I had to make "willartforcures" instead, but want "artforcures" released. Once it is, I will petition to have the name changed or just make a new blog. Thank you!

My domain name is wrong and the name I had is now "reserved". I don't know if there was an auto populate issue but my new account says dianaisbright instead of brightvox. When I tried to start a new one with the brightvox name, it says it is reserved?
Questions:
1. Can I switch my domain name to the correct one without wordpress recharging me? If so how?
2. What does it mean if my name is 'reserved' and was it reserved by me? Can I get it back?
