A recent change to how the Likes avatars appear on my blogposts means that if there are more than four Likes, a dropdown scroll appears but only the first four avatars appear, with text indicating, say, 8 bloggers like this. Scrolling down does not show any more than those four Likers.

I think this new process kinda defeats the idea. I would like to see it changed back to the original, where all Likers' avatars appear. Thank you.

Hi. I don't know how it changed but my background color and other colors for text are different and I can't quite tweak it myself to resemble what I originally published. Is there a way to go back and see original posts and recreate those color numbers and write them down so that this doesn't happen again?

The latter applies. Each purchase permits one install to pone blog.

Thank you. But I'm not too concerned about getting a refund. Buyer beware, after all.

I'm just wondering if a previous premium theme will still be available to activate once I have installed a new one, or would I have to repurchase it in order to install? I.e. do premium themes become unlocked once you purchase it, or does each purchase permit one install?

You can go back to a free theme at any time, provided the free theme is available. From time to time they do get discontinued.

Each premium theme has a different price so you buy one and if your don't like it then you request a refund and you purchase another premium theme.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard

Note: It takes from 1 - 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

Obviously you can always switch to a free theme. My question is if I have a premium theme, and I buy a new premium theme and do not like it, can I still go back to the previous theme without having to repurchase it?

i had a beautiful site on wordpress.com, but decided i needed some plugins and needed wordpress.org. i set up a hosted site at godaddy. then exported my wp.com site, changed the nameservers at godaddy, then imported the site into the new wp.org login. now my site is a disaster!! can i revert back to the old site?? i changed the nameservers back to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM (etc). it still looks awful though. not sure if the nameservers have switched yet, as its only been 20 min. i don't know if there are other steps i need to take or if its even possible to switch back. panicking big time! any help would be great. thank you so much

Before starting posting, I wanted to set up a few pages of permanent writings...

However, after I update and check the published page (which is as expected), I find out sometime later (hours) that all is for naught! My latest updates have reverted to some random previous state and all the work I have done since is gone. Gone! GONE!!! WTF???? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Since so many people successfully use this site I imagine it to be something I've done. Yet, I can't figure out what it is.

Has someone else had the same problem and know the answer?

It may be possible that your indexed content is still appearing in Google search results. If that's the case then you could recover the data from cached versions you loacte. However, it's a copy past job and you mentioned a couple of hundred of posts above. If you subscribed to your own blog's feed and it was a full feed and you kept the emailed copies your could copy and paste from them. Lastly, if you periodically used the export feature and kept the XML files as backups on your computer you could import them.

As in the title.

I've deleted a couple of hundred posts thinking I wanted to clean up my blog over a month ago (so my trash has been cleaned). Is it possible to do a bulk revert (akin to System Restore) or is that information lost forever?

I realise that posts that have been cleaned from the trash are permanently lost but I thought this question was a tad different.

If you deleted the header image from your Media Library then you will have to upload the header image again here > Apearance > Header

Maybe it's more a case of using my customised Header. I thought it would be available under "Appearance" but can't find it.

I didn't do anything as sophisticated as CSS customisations - I just clicked "activate" not realising that reverting to my customised Duster wasn't obvious/easy.

Don't know where to start re CSS :(

If you previously used Duster on the blog in question then you can select it again here > Apearance > Themes and use it again on the same blog by typing in the theme name "duster"

Did you remove the CSS customizations when you switched to Twenty Eleven or not?
When you alter a theme’s stylesheet, you only need to put in the Editor the modification/additions to the CSS, not the entire thing. CSS is theme specific. If you have custom CSS and later change themes, you need to delete whatever CSS you have in the Editor, otherwise, you’ll get undesired results. To ‘reset’ a theme, you need to delete the CSS in the Editor, make sure the “add to existing CSS” radio button is checked, then save. Things should go back to normal.

Are you referring to the blog linked to your username?
Every header image we upload is found in our Media Library. When we switch back to a theme we previously used if we have not deleted the header images we previously uploaded from the Media library they will automatically be found here > Appearance > Header
If the header image has been deleted then you simply uplaod it again > Appearance > Header

I believe the blog was created thru .com (not .org) and the address was changed to be part of the website. if you visit the blog address: http://www.thebluehound.com/jewelry/blog, you'll probably receive the error code.
