There is no such thing. It's either public and accessible and available to Google for indexing and accessible everyone else on the internet or it's private. There is no other option.

What could be done is making that page private, creating a contact form on a page and URL for the private page only to those who use the contact form. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

That said please read on ...

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content or making it private does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 - 6 months.

Okay so my domain http://www.thehautehousewives.com was purchased through GoDaddy...but hosted here through WP. I purchased the Search Engine Visibility package from GoDaddy and under my top 10 SEO Checklist it lists I have 142 pages. Now, when I go to "fix" certain pages, it will list links like:

and

The problem is, when I go to my WP posts, I only have ONE post which is:

http://thehautehousewives.com/2013/01/26/get-tweeting/

and NOWHERE can I find those other two links that GoDaddy is supposedly showing and crawling. I've tried blocking those sites (by the way, there's MANY more, about 2 wrong ones per correct WP permalink), by going into my CSS and posting after the <head> this code per GoDaddy:
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW, NOARCHIVE" />
but still no changes on GoDaddy's scan...142 pages are still being crawled.

Can anyone offer some insight or help? This is royalling confusing me :(

hey there guys! i just thought i'd stop by to share my almost new blog with you guys. i started it in march, but took a long break due to things happening in life. recently i decided to start blogging again, and would be grateful for any visitors who may like to stop by!

the main theme of my blog is science fiction and robots in particular. i've been a massive sci-fi fan for a number of years, both on screen and through reading books. i'm in the middle of finishing an english literature degree, so want somewhere to practise my casual writing as well as taking a break from writing about shakespeare and such every day. it's mainly short pieces, the odd book review, pictures of robots, robot of the day, reviews of sci-fi shows i've been watching recently and other assorted miscellany.

if any of this might interest you, then please do take a look, as well as suggesting any improvements you think i could make. all comments gratefully received :)

thanks, ted! http://strungupstrungout.wordpress.com/

For a week now traffic on two of my blogs (main blog and subsidiary) has dwindled to practivcally zero. Google webmaster says that its crawlers can't read the syntax of robot/text. All its user agents say: Disallow this or that. Any connection? Could it be that sb's been messing with the accessibilty of these blogs? Am I just paranoid?

Thank you. Please always either link your name to your blog (under Profile->Website) or give us the direct link when you ask a question.

In WordPress.com it's all or nothing; you can make the ENTIRE blog visible to readers but invisible to search engines (the middle setting on your Dashboard-Settings->Privacy) but you can't do that for individual pages.

If you're actually talking about Pages rather than Posts, it's not really necessary, since Pages have such little googlejuice in the first place.

Hi,

We have had a new webiste developed using WordPress by using one of the themes. The site is here: http://virtualpso.com

We have published it to the main search engines but it is still not showing up. Though I am not a technical expert (I didn't build the site), I do know it takes a little while for the search engines to come to the site and index but it has been a week now and it is not showing up on any.

I would be grateful if somebody could tell me how we can check whether our site is correctly setup for the search engines. I know about the robots.txt which we have opened up in the admin panel. Is there anything else we need to do, or is it simply a case of we need to wait and see.

Many thanks,
Mike
