I usually schedule all my posts: one every morning. The posts are shared on my personal twitter account and on the blog's facebook page. Yesterday, as usually, the post went on air but the link wasn't shared. I disconnected all my sharing accounts, took the post off, connected again, published it again and nothing happened. so I posted the link by myself. Today the same thing happened again: nothing shared. I don't know whats is happening, because evertything always went so easy. Please, help me.

Posts » Schedule a Post http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
NOTE: Scheduled Posts do not actually publish until the first visitor clicks into the site. That click in triggers publication of the scheduled post.

Posts and Pages are not the same. Pages don't have RSS feeds only Posts do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Frankly it makes no sense to publish 70 pages. Pages are for static content that rarely, if ever, changes. What makes sense is publishing Posts and there is no automatic way to move content from Pages to Posts. It's a copy and paste job to move the content into posts.

A WordPress blog can either be structured as a page based website or its conventional post based structure can be retained. That’s why understanding the differences between posts and pages, comprehending the SEO implications of creating a page based structure, and knowing how to use custom menus are key to decision making when selecting a theme, and setting up your WordPress.com blog.
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and you can read about them here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/

Currently, I'm running a site used to publish stories... fan fiction.

I typically schedule updates of subsequent chapters during the afternoon on the next day. Unfortunately, this means that the chapter is posted, but given how I designed the site, nothing links to it, except the side widgets, but I doubt most people pay attention to that.

Obviously I have to add the three links (one on the front page, one on the story-specific page, and one for the 'next' button on the previous chapter) after the story is published, otherwise it'll lead to a 404 error.

But it kinda defeats the purpose of scheduling the thing if I have to manually set the links to it at that time.

Revisionary

This plugin allows the ability to schedule updates to pre-existing pages and posts. Which would come in real handy for my purposes.

I don't know if it might end up being problematic or confusing for most users. If that is the case, it might be useful to set it up as an optional feature, that needs to be selected.

Just an idea.

I used to be able to schedule posts days ahead of time but when I tried to do it for today, January 1, 2013. I figured it must be a glitch because it was the new year so I tried to do it today to post for tonight.

There was no 'schedule' button as there usually is. I edited the date so it was for 23:00. The only button available was 'publish' so I clicked that. It showed as it usually does when I publish something and yet it doesn't show up.

I tried to find it as a scheduled post but that doesn't show anything.

Is this a wordpress issue? I'd sure hate to lose the scheduling option.

Any help gratefully accepted!
thanks!
