Hello again. I have tried to get used to the infinite scroll/loading more posts but honestly I just think it's absolutely stupid for some kind of blogs and forcing it without giving an option is just weird.

I have never seen a lifestyle blog having such a feature and I don't think I would bother reading it because it just makes everything look chaotic.

If at least the Archive option allowed to show all posts underneath each month, it would make things easier. But I guess I would also have to purchase an upgrade?

I have done such an extensive research before starting my blog deciding between blogger and wordpress and now I am just disappointed with my decision. Blogger seems to be so much more flexible without having to pay for an upgrade.
Is there a way of transporting my blog from wordpress to blogger?

Be aware that your theme is a premium theme and p[art of what you paid for is support directly form the theme designer in the premium support forums. We Volunteers here on the technical support forums do not have access to premium themes and cannot work with them in test blogs.

Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. The premium theme forums are at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/ with separate sections for each theme. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/on-demand

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

Be aware that the aim here is to implement infinite scroll on every themes and retire those that cannot be so equipped. I disliked infinite scroll when ii was first introduced but now I'm a convert. I also use responsive width themes and suggest you may want to as well.

Mobiles are exploding and soon those using computers for the first time will be using tablets or smartphones - not desktops.

Responsive width means the layout adapts depending on the size of the device being used to view your site. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

My theme has automatically installed infinite scroll which I don't like and have switched off. However, now at the bottom of the page is a button 'older posts' but instead of sending me to the 'previous page', it LOADS more posts. I really don't like this feature of loading more posts on one page, I think it's really confusing for the reader and want to change it into traditional paging. How do I do that?

Hello there,

I have finally got to the point to update wordpress to 3.5.1.

However, when I returned to my homepage I saw that the left sidebar was gone. The page which is also showing following the link "Blogroll" was identical to the front page. The only thing I can do now is to make the front page static and to show the same content as the "Blogroll" page. However, the title of the page (and possibly other data as well) are different.

How can I set this up, so that the sidebar will also show again on the front page and not only on the blogroll page. I have not been able to find the checkbox to deactivate infinity scroll.

Thanks,
André

A recent change to how the Likes avatars appear on my blogposts means that if there are more than four Likes, a dropdown scroll appears but only the first four avatars appear, with text indicating, say, 8 bloggers like this. Scrolling down does not show any more than those four Likers.

I think this new process kinda defeats the idea. I would like to see it changed back to the original, where all Likers' avatars appear. Thank you.

I can assure you that they type of browser you're using has absolutely no effect on the type or amount of ads displayed.

Perhaps you're using an ad blocker in Firefox.

If http://pellymade.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/ie_appearence_problem3.jpg is from the same instance as http://pellymade.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/ie_appearence_problem4.jpg you were not logged in when you viewed the blog in IE, as you would not have seen the Follow tab at the bottom-right of the screen.

I have clearly wrote in ALL my previous posts that:
when I am NOT LOGGED IN I see ads in IE
and ON THE SAME INSTANT
I am NOT LOGGED IN in Firefox and I DON"T SEE them...

I also wrote twice that I personally DON"T USE IE, I have it as a backup but wanted to see what visitors who use it would see. I cannot control which browser other people have, nor their operating system... That's the problem
You keep repeating answers to questions I have already answered.

Please, if you want take a look at my previous posts, every problem I have is written down with screen shots and everything.
Thank you

Why do you say that?

If you are logged into WordPress.com then you will not see ads on your blog. If you are not logged in you will see them. That's the same for all of us who don't buy the No-Ads upgrade.

If you don't want any ads on the blog then you have to purchase a No-Ads upgrade to remove them.

As I said to you I am on Windows XP too and I do not use Internet Explorer. I use Firefox which is a far better browser than Internet Explorer is.
