It's just that wordpress doesn't allow <iframe> tags (see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/) which are used in the code from polyvore.
I would suggest to make a screenshot and link it to the polyvore-set. That's what I will do…

Pages are static and are for content that rarely changes. They sit outside of the blog structure and you cannot post to multiple pages in any blog. There is only one main page for posts in a blog and all posts will display on the main blog page. There is no way to exclude posts from the main posts (blog) page.

The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. This order cannot be chnaged. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page "Welcome" for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. (Use any page titles you wish to replace "Wlecome" and "Blog".

Choice 1 static front page
Choice 2 running page for all posts on front page

Which do you choose? It’s one or the other.

If you choose Choice 1 static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

I've built a custom menu that displays two category tabs and a page. It all works fine except for when you first go to the site it shows all posts in publication order. I want to change that so the homepage effectively is the first catgeory page. Is that possible? I've tried hiding the homepage but it isn't making any difference.

Scenario:

23May2011 : travel to Bali, etc

15June2011 : write entry about Bali trip and want to date the entry for 23May2011

I want to have the postings be when then "item" occurred, not when I managed to get around to posting it.

Every post you publish has a date stamp in the permalink to the post. I strongly advise that you do not adopt the habit of messing with date stamps once you have set the date and timezone correctly, because doing that creates broken links "404" (page not found).
