I viewed all of the links you gave me especially gave time to the one concerning post-vs-page. I still can't move any posts I have or add to the category I want them. For ex. I have one that is a legal disclaimer that I want to put under that category I put in my menu. It's not there and can't seem to figure out how to move it. Like having the "About" page with my personal info intro having that information in that category.
Should I just start over with the menu? Still not sure I can create the menu getting the info under the correct categories. I seem to just have the categorical hierarchy and I know this sounds really stupid [which is how I am feeling], sort the 'posts'/info randomly. Since upgrading to Pro and having my new name of t-rants.org primary instead of bretcop.wordpress.com, I have had nothing but one headache after another. I am still hosted by WordPress, right? I must be because I am not paying another host site and my bretcop still shows up in the site name, at least I think that is where it is, somewhere on my settings page in either case.
I thought when you had wordpress.com that 'they' helped you set up your theme. I want to buy one of the Premium themes but don't dare do anything until I can figure this out. Currently I am using Twenty Twelve, and I thought you couldn't download a theme if on wordpress.com?
Am I confused? Yuppers, I would say so. Good think I am a better physician than computer geek [no offense intended to anyone].

I have just updated it to the Pro version and trying to set it up to actually use it. I have spent two weeks already trying to figure out how to configure everything. I have set up soho.com email account for use although now I can't even find out where it was suggest I set up that email and I can't figure out how to put the pages I want on my home page and/or to add some of the pages already present on particular pages.
The home page has a "view my tweets" button, but it doesn't seem to work [I did create the widget and paste in the code], and the other widgets I added to main page which I thought is/was the home page aren't on that page but are on another page. So I m obviously at a loss to do that even. I am presently using the twenty-twelve theme but maybe it's just too much for me.
If someone could please give me a bit of help like step one-? I would be so appreciative. Or somewhere I can get it configured for less than five hundred dollars..
I REALLY need to get this set up. Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

Those must stay - if you delete them your blog can be suspended for Terms of Service Violation. Even the VIP blogs that start at $ 20,000 a year must keep those credits.

3. Can I change the color of the fonts or the fonts themselves on my blog or am I locked into what appears there now unless I pay for an upgrade?
4. I have chosen the AutoFocus Theme for my Blog/Website. But what I see on my site doesn't seem to look like what is on the sample theme for AutoFocus. Is that just because of the content?
5. How can I get a sidebar to list the different galleries I have set up?
6. Can the About and Welcome pages be shown at the top of the opening page so one can click on them?
7. I thought that I had set up a blog picture/icon in the general settings page but I am not seeing it. I did upload it and crop it.
8. Is there a way to screen the header image that I have chosen? Can I change its color?
9. If I want to select the option of showing a different header image on ech page (random) and one of the images I have uploaded I don't like, is there a way to delete that header image?

Basically I found the Modularity Lite theme as looking to be perfect for me setting up an online portfolio. But somehow I seem to have broken it and nothing works as it should do.
1. Firstly photos I upload don't display properly on the main page, if their are portrait they crop so the image looks terrible. How do I sort this out.
2. What is the optimum size to upload for this theme. - I tried resizing but nothing seems to work.
3. It mentions you can have a side bar and welcome but the welcome I wrote seems to come down over the image?
4. finally I want the front page to be static, so my shots show up in a rolling display and to upload new shots via posts on the updates page - eventually I'd like to have several pages with sections on them. But at present nothing seems to be working for me on the site as I thought it would do.

I've looked on the website but the problem is I can't seem to find what I'm looking for, I wonder if anyone has had any of the same problems or could take a look at my page and see where I'm clearly going wrong.

I did have a quick look at a few other theme's I tried one called albeo or something? had bit of pink in. It didn't show my pages in right order though when I went to look at my site, even though when i was in dashboard and edit pages they were showing in order I had put them in, so sticking with original theme for now until I have finished putting my background info up and started blogging.

I use copy and paste alot to compensate cos my typing is slow these days due to co-ordination difficulties so I'll have to learn how to 'strip the junk codes'. Though saying that my posts on assistive technology turned out ok, although I found it easier to delete the pics and upload them again as they seemed to come across really massive. With a bit of backspacing and deleting so words went all the way across to end it has come out ok and saved me alot of re-typing.

Only have one more large page of text to do this way and then my blogs will be typed on the day I write them. It helps when you can save and come back to them later for longer posts.

I looked at fonts when I changed to a different theme, I tried the Toni one in purple but it mentioned having to pay if you wanted choice of fonts?

I switched back to original for now but managed to get a bit of pink into header and got my front page back! Hoping to finish all background info by end of this weekend.

"What was the hello world page" isn't a static page, it's your blog front, designed to display your latest posts. You need to go to Posts > Add New and create a post.

Or you can go to Pages > Add New, create a suitable page, then set your front to display this page (under Settings > Reading).

hold the hex colour codes.. lol bit too technical

Hewsut and I suggested which themes are suitable if you want a pink look. If you load one of those themes and go to Appearance > Theme Options, you'll see that it's not difficult: you just have to copy and paste the hex number for the color/s you prefer.

Provided you did not permanently delete it then it's in your Trash and you can locate it, recover it and edit it. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#accessing-your-trash and the next section (Restoring from Trash) as well.
