hello - I'm new to wordpress. I like the layout of the template that is on my homepage. But I can't seem to figure out how to change the titles to the different sections. For example, if you scroll down on my homepage you'll see "LifeStyle" next to "Music". And further down you'll "Education" and then "Fashion". How do I change those titles?

http://wagbrag.com/

I thought I just needed to change the Page or Category names of those sections but that does not seem to work. I'd really, really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks so much.

I've used WordPress for several blogs without problem, but this time I'm getting an issue that I can't figure out.

I set up/created my new blog hosted here:
http://www.nolacreative.com/unvisiteddallas/wordpress/

The theme was in place and everything was working fine. When I changed the URL of the site to http://www.unvisiteddallas.com, it threw off all the settings and all formatting disappeared. It also does not allow me to make edits or visit any of the pages due to the redirect issues.

Only solution I've found for this is to reset the wp-config file and setup the site again, but then I lose all of my files. Any ideas for what can be done to fix this?

Well, the problem is:

I blog in Arabic, and I have decided to use "Ratings" for comments and posts, so I went to:
Ratings -> Comments -> Advanced Settings -> Customize Labels

You know, I need to change the Labels from English to Arabic, let's take this for example:
English: "Rate this", Arabic: "تقييمك؟".

In the "Preview" section, it shows me the Arabic text in the correct form, but after saving it, it will be changed to: "u062au0642u064au064au0645u0643u061f"!
The same story happens whenever I try to change any English text, it seems like it accepts only the Latin characters.

You can check an example of it in this post: http://wp.me/p1uATf-6r ,go to the comments section and you will see..

Please guys, if anyone knows how to fix this bug or how can I can contact WP team to solve it.

Thank you ^_^

Hi!

I'm trying to create a new blog for a group of photography students. I need to have a place where I can showcase each student's portfolio (10 students total), a section to give general updates to the team, a forum area of the students to interact with one another, and, ideally, a calendar section to keep them aware of any assignments/important dates. Also, I'd like a basic area where I can post updates.

Can anyone help me figure out how to do this? I'm a total novice and I'm not sure how to begin!

Many thanks in advance. I will gladly reimburse you for your time in some (legal) way. :)

The bottom line for us Volunteers here ate wordpress.com is we cannot start providing support for wordpress.ORG bloggers because if we do then they come back time and time again and others join them.

I have, I don't understand why they completely missed my point when they responded, they just reiterated what I stated was my issue twice now. I will most likely have to send another support request to see if this time they actually read my email and offer assistance. Thanks!

Yea I considered that but right now I think it is properly setup....I have a DB_NAME, DB_USER, and DB_PASSWORD setup and then I have the DB_HOST set to localhost...everything else is at default settings...unless there is something else I overlooked in tutorials that I need to adjust upon install? Not sure...I posted my concerns on .ORG but if you have any other advice on editing my wp-config.php file I'd love to try anything out.

Right now I am editing the wp-config.php via http://ftp...is that correct?
