Hi there!

There's no way that you can set a different header for a page using the Fresh & Clean theme as far as I can tell.

There are themes that will show your featured image as the header on posts and pages if you choose to switch to another theme. Here's the current list of featured header image enabled themes:
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/featured-image-header/

PLEASE NOTE - do not activate a theme unless you're 100% sure you don't want to use your current theme anymore as you won't be able to get the Fresh & Clean theme back if you switch.

I hope that helps!

Fresh and clean theme supports header of 920 X 116 pixels
Make it sure your header format is one of these
jpeg
png
gif

The post slider appears on the front page if and only if you set featured images of the size required by the theme and mark them as sticky posts.
Featured Images at least 840 pixels wide.
(optimum width is 290 pixels for featured images)

    Featured Images as Post Thumbnails
If you add a Featured Image to non-sticky posts, or if you add a small Featured Image to a Sticky Post, that image will appear as a prominent post thumbnail beside the post on the front page, archive pages, and in search results.
Fresh & Clean
Sticky Posts Featured Slider: 840 x 280

Hey,

For a project I'm working with WordPress, and now I'm stuck on a problem.

This is the case:
There are several countrys that are going to edit pages on the wordpress page and now what I want to is that for example.
Im the admin and i have rights to edit everything.
Now someone from Germany can only edit pages that are written in his language, so link pages to a certain user so he can't edit pages that are from somone in France.
The users from the country's can't have the same rights as the admin so they can't see certain stuff on the menu, atleas thats what I want it to do.

I hope there is anyone that can help me, i already tryed some plugins, but they only filter layers of wordpress, not pages linking to people.

Thanks in advance

When you are logged in under that username account every blog you create is registered to that username account. To separate 3 blogs what's required is to log out of wordpress.com and create two new username accounts each with different email addresses.

Hi.

I am trying to set up my blog that the viewer can select from the menu to view various posts that are related to the same topic. My Home page shows my posts, while the other pages are static.

So for an example, let us say that my new post is related to GBP/JPY (a currency specific type) that is viewed with system A of trading. And the menu has Currencies-Individual Currencies (GBP/JPY; USD/CAD, EUR/USD), while the next menu field (or static page) is Systems-System A, System B etc.)

Now since the post is related to both GBP/JPY and to System A, I wish the viewer to be able to see all the posts that are related to GBP/JPY when clicking on Currencies-GBP/JPY sub-menu (which is the static page titled GBP/JPY) and for the same post to be viewed when the viewer clicks the Systems-System A sub-menu (which is a static page titled System A.

I found some of the help files referring to linking the url. But that does not give the static page the post. It gives a link to the post and redirects to the said post when clicked.

Does this mean that I have to duplicate a single post in all of the relevant static pages so the viewer can see them?

Please assist.

Thanks, BlueMental.

I'd like to set up our blog so that each of my authors has her own post page. So when Author A posts it goes to Author A's post page. I would then like the front page to contain all of my authors posts in reverse chronological order so if A posted but then B posted later on that day B's post would be above A's. It would be great if the front page only had small clips of each post like "read more", but I'd be happy with the whole thing as well.
Basically I'd like each of the author pages to feed the main page and the main page just take what it's given in the reverse order that it's received (most recent on top).
Right now we're using the Freshy theme, but could change this if need be.

Is there anyway within free usage of wordpress for me to have the category widget show only certain categories? I have several category widgets each with its own topic and within that topic I want it to drop down to categories in relation to only that widget topic. For example, at the top of one category drop down menu will be "Bible" and it only shows categories of the bible, while one called "Astrology" would only reveal categories on that. The way it's set up right now, each category widget shows EVERY category, which is not what I want. I want to select which ones each widget displays so that I have a hierarchy.

At first I thought this was possible using the hierarchy option in the categories settings but the hierarchys themselves do not appear on the page. I expected you to be able to click on the parent topic and then the other categories would drop down from it.

Thanks for your help! ^^

Hi, my site is http://richardswoodhouse.com/ and the recents posts bar, in the header area, has gone skewd into the title as you can see.
Does anyone know how to fix this and align it with the other blocks on the red bar? cheers!

With each page that you want polls on, just repeat the process to insert them into the body of the page. If you are talking about different polls in the sidebar for different pages, then no that is not possible.

Hi everyone.

Does anyone know of a way to create a differnt pole depending on which page you are on within my blog (morblogger.wordpress.com).

I have created a poll using polldaddy and would like to create more. I would like the poll to be relevent to the current page being viewed, but I would also like the poll to appear in the sidebar (for asthetic reasons and to keep things consistant).

Does anyone know of a way to have several different polls (one at a time) appear in the side bar, depending on what current page is being viewed?

Thanks

I just came across webshots.com. They do allow hotlinking. You get 1000 photo storage to start with and then 100 more per month added on (that's the free account). They use photo count rather than storage space. I've yet to get the batch uploader to work though (the one that can take a whole directory). It crashes Firefox for me every single time. But this might be a Firefox + Fedora + Flash version nightmare. I haven't tried it on Windows yet so YMMV. Because I haven't gotten the stupid uploader to work (there's still an uploader that will allow one at a time) I don't know how posting entire albums works.
