Sorry I'm new on this forum and this actually isnt blog that i need help with...forum posted link automatically...I have wordpress installed on my localhost, and i installed a theme for start so i can create product table on something...it has a shopping cart, and room for products but i need to create something very simple so i can post every product with multiple prices and user can add it to cart with the price of market that he wants...Does this make sense ?

You don't have what you need. You need to hire a web host and set up a WordPress.org install. Online stores aren't currently possible here at WordPress.com as our free hosted blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce transactions at this time. If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, there are no restrictions on e-commerce if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. hi all
I want to make a price comparison portal and i have everything I need (theme, shop cart, groups of products...) except one...i dont know how to create multiple price menu for a product...let me explane how i see this :
User comes to my web site, searches for a few products, adds them to shopping cart and then he needs to compare prices in all shops that I've included on my web site...I've tryed ecommerce, woocommerce but they dont give me the solution...Does anyone have an idea ? Thanks in advance

Hello. I'd like to add a 'buy now' button on our whats on page so people can pay for our classes and workshops in advance.

I've tried to do this using the code from Paypal but it doesn't except it when I add it. Is this because we have a wordpress.com site? I have the CSS unlocked but am unable to edit the HTML of the site due to the sites limitations

Could anyone offer any advice on how to do this?

Hi -

I'm looking for a way to display products and their prices online, but not actually sell them online. What I want people to be able to do is shop for products, get product information and pricing from the website, but then actually call or come in to the store to place the order.

Any suggestions on how to proceed would be very welcome.

Hi! I'm struggling to decide which theme I can use best for my blog & online shop - I sell things I've made at home & would like to use WP.com but I'm not at all tech savvy. I need help deciding on a theme that I can customise the colours in (more feminine & warm), display a sort of 'catalogue' of my shoes with a paypal button so that folks can buy direct from me (and save me & them from the etsy monster).

Plugins are unavailable to WordPress.com blogs, period. Each upgrade applies only exactly to what it says and no more. You don't buy exemption from the code restrictions or terms of service.

If you want to do a full ecommerce shop, you can't be on WordPress.com; you cannot use the code. You can either buy hosting and move your blog off WP.com to a new host and install plugins, etc there OR you can find webspace or an estore host and set that up and link to it from your WP.com blog.

Hi. I'm trying to figure out exactly why I am unable to setup an e-commerce shop on my site. I have a premium theme, with premium WordPress purchased services, and yet it seems like that feature/plugin is unavailable to me? It's really frustrating because I was under the impression that I would be able to sell my merchandise. Someone please help! Thanks.

I know that selling is not permitted on WordPress.com.

No blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.com. Are the products you want to sell made by you or not?

@dearmariana, I haven't heard of any other reports with purchasing an upgrade like the one you described, but I do know that purchases are going through and so the issue may be related to your account specifically. Hey, is anyone else having problems purchasing an upgrade from the WP shop? I haven't been able to get it to go through, and no one from support has replied to my messages... so I guess no one wants my money, how sad.

I'm using the coupon code that was given to some of us after the password security issue, and I can't tell if the coupon code is causing the problems or what. I've tried multiple credit cards, so I don't think it's my end.

I'm also wondering why it won't let me add multiple things to the shopping cart... i.e. a Premium theme and No-Ads.

... frustrated...

Hello everyone!

I have returned to wordpress within the last week or so after failing very horridly at keeping to my promise of writing at least once a week on my blog!

I have set up a little space, mostly for fun, whereby I am telling a few strange stories that I have stored in the memory, after several years of working in what would seem to most as the rather boring world of retail! Needless to say, it is not always that mind numbing, as you will see from the first few stories I have put up!

I am a part time writer, and at the moment I am trying to get a few fictional things published, so any feedback will be much appreciated! I will return the favour to anyone who is kind enough to stop by, have a read, leave a comment or even subscribe!

It's normal that it doesn't work: it contains "form" and "input" tags, which are not allowed on WordPress.com. There's no setting that changes that. It's the same for everyone:

As a workaround, perhaps you can install a PayPal unencrypted donation button
