I'm trying to create short links to websites on the "Links" page of my blog, see page:

Links rather than a short url though. So for example a live link "Cornell Digital Library", instead of http://digital.library.cornell.edu/w/witch/digital.html

Does anyone know how to do this please? Thanks for your help.

The editor box will remain where I put it, until I post.
Every new post requires that I resize the editor box.

The vertical scroll bar becomes very small.

Is there a way to have the default length as it was, originally?

I also tried saving an empty post, after re-sizing the page, but that failed.

I don't know what disturbed the original setting.

How can I restore the short length of the editor?
I like the tool bar at the top edge and the bottom of the editing window at the bottom of the browser window.

It just takes too long to shorten the window on every post.
It wasn't like this, in the beginning, so I don't know if it is operator error.

Here are the instructions for splitting contact by inserting "the more tag". The result will be beginnings of posts on your front page. However, if you have very lengthy posts you can also use other methods to split content like excerpts, pagination (next page) or page jump links.

Do be aware that we cannot edit themes or the templates that underlay them on this multi-user blogging platform where all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template. Staff are the only ones who can access and edit those theme and template files as every edit made affects all blogs wearing the same theme. And CSS editing cannot change functionality; it can only be used to change appearance.

In the majority of themes, posts in category or monthly archive pages show up just as they do in the main posts page. This isn't such a problem for now I suppose, but it would be nice to have the option to just list the full post.

Having a look at those links, they seem to be about how to truncate posts, not how to turn truncated posts into standard posts. Whether this is a feature of categories and cannot be changed I don't know.
