Unless... are you saying... my friend whose wordpress post appears as a preview in his tweet shows up that way because he added sharing buttons on his blog and then shared it himself on twitter by clicking that button, instead of auto-sharing with publication of the WP post? That auto-sharing on Twitter with publication of a post on WP will not show a preview?

On some other twitter accounts, I see that they have enabled sharing to automatically tweet a newly published blog post. When they do, there appears in the tweet a little preview box, like this one.

But when I have tried doing this, the media doesn't appear. I even tried copy+pasting the shortlink manually into a new tweet, and I get the same result. Logged out and back in (both twitter and WP), restarted, cleared cache... all same result.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a privacy setting I'm missing or need to change? Please help. Thanks!

If you have a archive page you could grab the short link for the archive page that way when the person clicks the link they are directed to a page with a list of your posts (unfortunately this is the only workaround I am aware of)

First suggestion is to log out, clear the FF cache and cookies, restart FF and then try again.

If that doesn't work, disable any and all add-ons/plugins that you may have installed in FF, restart FF and then try again. If it works with all add-ons/plugins disabled, then it is a conflict between wordpress and one of them. You can then try activating them one at a time to find out which one is causing the issue.

Everything works fine using Chrome, and all those things work perfectly through Firefox in my self-hosted WordPress blog.

Then in the Forum directory, my post was credited to Admin: rather than my name. And it slowly became evident that my posts were invisible to everyone except me. It proved impossible to find any direct email address to reach anybody at WP so in the end I had to approach one of your volunteer colleagues on his personal website and break the rules. He gave me the simple email address support@WP yet I've never seen this displayed anywhere obvious. Since then, I've heard nothing back, but the post above seems to be proof that my visibility is back to normal. Apologies to ramble on but I suppose I'm nipping myself to be sure this isn't a dream :!
