The site is hosted somewhere else, but we use wordpress as a publisher.

Looking at the stats on jetpack, I can only see hits to the page but not unique hits.

This data needs to be gathered as soon as possible, please help!

No biggy here, and please, as usual, thanks for any help.
The graph at the top of my WordPress telling me how many Visits I am getting per hour, is sitting at 181 per hour for the last 48 hours.
But the Graph is flat, with one BIG spike in the middle and has been like this for a day now, and had not changed. And I have done two blogs during this time, with a bit of feedback.

Any reason it would do this?
When I click into it, it is not showing these amount of hits.

Any help would be superb as usual

As long as you are absolutely sure they're visiting. Sorry I had to check, but it wouldn't be the first inaccurate stats claim we had where the folks claiming to visit never actually did.

It is entirely possible that their browsers are set as Do Not Track, are blocking cookies, blocking Javascript, or running ad blockers. Either would prevent us from tracking them.

Unfortunately, based on the number of friends I have clicking through from their own Pinterest accounts from their own computers (where there is no chance of me being logged in) the stats are still off from what I know to be actual traffic.

I posted because I was interested to see if stat problems are a known issue.

So I'm in the middle of a graduate student blog project, part of which is implementing a tactic for driving traffic to my blog.

I decided to post social media-themed images on Flickr and Pinterest linked to my blog and it's working great for Flickr. No joy on Pinterest though.

I've gone on other computers under other accounts and clicked the link through from Pinterest to my blog but the activity is not showing up in my blog stats and Pinterest is not listed as a referring site. I've verified my WP blog with Pinterest, so I'm not sure where the issue is.

Any ideas?

My blog has a fair number of images of specialist interest, though wouldn't say my site was image-rich.

What Google effectively seems to be doing is appropriating a site's images for wider distribution - in the way individual web users do when they post our images at Pinterest and Tumblr, so that the source blog doesn't receive a hit when other people "reblog" (ie, steal) the image.

All this despite the fact I tag my rarest images with the code rel="nofollow"
