1) t would be nice to jot down a "More Permissions URL" for anybody who wished to obtain information about clearing rights that are not cleared by my license. I would imagine the easiest way to do this would be to use the same URL as I would type in for "Attribute Work To URL" - which is, simply, just my website.

An alternative that I use is a separate license page, which is linked from the main page.

2) Is it unwise to use the e-mail address that I used to register with WordPress.com? Or should I just create another e-mail address that is specific to the aforementioned inquiries? Or - is this just not the best thing to do at all?

I would never put a permanent email address on your website, it will get hit by more and more spam as time goes on. I use a temporary address from Gishpuppy that I change when i get to much spam. Another alternative is the contact form

3) I attempted to go over the whole "Google Apps" thing, but in light of my exhaustion and the ostensible complexity of the whole ordeal - not to mention the fact that I truly don't understand what I am to gain by the whole "e-mail and domain being together thing".

If you don't need or want it then don't do it! It is fairly complex, though the instructions are good. Personally I do have some @my-blog.org email addresses because I sometimes post to lists and people as the blog owner rather than using my personal email account.

Padding-right adds extra space to the right of each image. If what you want is an equal amount of white space around all sides of each image, change padding-right to just padding, and change the px number that folllows to adjust how much that space will be. If you want just the little bit of white each image already has, delete this altogether:
style="padding-right:20px;"

Or would you like to get rid of the grey frame?

Given that for the moment at least I'm my own most active reader, I'd like to fix this, and preferably without rewriting WP's syntax highlighting CSS. I take it that isn't an option?

You would have to have the CSS upgrade and some CSS experience to do this.

I'm starting up a blog related to my work as a developer and researcher and would like to be able to put up short snippets of code so that readers can follow along. My problem is that the default [sourcecode] shortcode causes code to be displayed as black text on a light background, where my theme is light on dark. To me, the latter is much more readable- is there a way to get that behavior out of it?

There might be a way to do it with the CSS upgrade using pseudoelements, but the problem is not all browsers support that (IE in particular which accounts for a majority of those on the internet) so I never recommend using them.

I am looking to change the "Leave a reply" text into "Submit your prayer request" but I cannot find a way to get into the source code. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
