Hey timethief, thanks for replying.
I find that a tad annoying. Even though people may or may not like posts in the Reader I wish WordPress would be somehow be able to tell you how many people saw the post in the Reader.
I set my RSS Feed to Summary a week or two ago because I had just discovered it. After all these years of blogging with WordPress you think I'd find something like that :P
Thanks again!

Likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats too. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats/

I choose to reduce my RSS Feed to "summary" here > Settings > Reading
For each article in a feed, show
Full text
Summary
Doing that compels followers to click in and read the full post on my blogs.

Do you have your RSS Feed set to "Full text"?

I was just wondering if the WordPress Stats are misbehaving? I decided to go and check mine out. I've been posting as I usually do but for some reason my stats are extremely low. It seems very unusual. I mean, either they are 'broken' or people have decided to stop reading my blog altogether...

Thanks bird. Doh! I don't seem to be able to post a link these days. Maybe.........it's strange forces at work!! Lol.

Yes, noises can be weird. I remember in the 90s while visiting my sister in Lowestoft hearing distant rumbling noises at different times and places. It sounded really sinister but we think it was the sound of aircraft at the USAF air bases in the area. And in East Anglia sound travels well over the flat landscape.
But then, EA is a very weird place. ;)

@jessie - The sound on the video on that About page there is wind through distant woods. I hear that exact same sound everytime there's a strong wind in the upper forest. It's incredibly alarming, and I usually can't sleep through the night (I don't think I've ever noticed it during the day but that could be cos I'm online and noticing other things, lol!) By the way, your link went to the wrong page as you put the forum url on it too. Here's the link you meant to put:

http://strangesoundsinthesky.com/about

The was it was explained to me was that the wind sort of 'plays' the spaces between the trees, like a wind instrument. To me it sounds like a air through a funnel. The ground would shake... it's a heck of a strong force.

While I am not saying there aren't unexplained forces (there are bound to be: you compare our knowledge now to the knowledge - or lack of - in say the Middle Ages and imagine what we don't know now that people hundreds of years into our future will know) there are still natural and explainable ones that many people don't realise.

Ooh thanks for those links raincoaster. That introduction is MINDBOGGLING. Brilliant!
Yes, I do like anything to do with the unexplained and things like that so I'll have a good look at those sites.
There is a WP blog about strange noises;

If you like this kind of thing, you will LOVE http://www.forteantimes.com/ . I used to spend hours on that site every day.

And Charles Fort himself is always worth a read. http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/world/readfile?fk_files=1528497 I mean, just READ this introduction:

A procession of the damned.

By the damned, I mean the excluded.

We shall have a procession of data that Science has excluded.

Battalions of the accursed, captained by pallid data that I have
exhumed, will march. You'll read them--or they'll march. Some of them
livid and some of them fiery and some of them rotten.

Some of them are corpses, skeletons, mummies, twitching, tottering,
animated by companions that have been damned alive. There are giants
that will walk by, though sound asleep. There are things that are
theorems and things that are rags: they'll go by like Euclid arm in arm
with the spirit of anarchy. Here and there will flit little harlots.
Many are clowns. But many are of the highest respectability. Some are
assassins. There are pale stenches and gaunt superstitions and mere
shadows and lively malices: whims and amiabilities. The naïve and the
pedantic and the bizarre and the grotesque and the sincere and the
insincere, the profound and the puerile.

And that's a NONFICTION book!

Listening to the videos it sounds like a mix of the aliens from War of the Worlds (2005) the Lost monster, the Tardis and heavy machinery being shifted about!!! Go figure.
Very odd but me thinks some of these alleged 'hearings' are hoaxes. The most plausible explanation has it being magnetic particles from the Sun hitting Earth's magnetic field.....or something. Aach, I'm no physicist. It's aroused my interest anyway.
:D
