Hey,

I'm having an issue with the DNS on my site... I have it directed to a sub-domain but It wont work in firefox but works in IE and chrome fine :/

PLEASE HELP, no Idea why it won't work in firefox.

re: front page error message
Deleting content and/or changing themes will not eliminate that error message. By default your front page displays all your posts and you have not published any posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of your blog appeared because you deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Hey peeps,

I have set up a blog the gets re-directed to a sub domain "blog.safework.com.au" All is working fine in IE and Chrome, But firefox doesn't display anything...? I have tried clearing the cache and everything .... It's really got me twisted.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated :)

I am wanting my custom menu to appropriately display my sub-categories in a drop down fashion. I can currently only do this on the default menu.

I have created a custom menu, but when I use it it causes me to loose all my current drop down sub-categories. I need a custom menu so I can organize the order of the sub-categories. (unless someone knows a way to do this without using a custom menu)

I have checked and all my pages are set up correctly as parent, child, etc. I have tried multiple times to shift sub-categories right in my custom menu dashboard page, but when I update they all move back to left alignment.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed. Thanks,

The same site shows how to incorporate current posts using a rss feed to your external website. http://www.corvidworks.com/articles/easy-feed-reading-with-simplepie

Again, this would be if your main website is not on WordPress.com. I have not tried this, but would try this method if I was trying to incorporate recent posts into an external website.

If you on on a web host (and using WordPress installed there) rather than at WordPress.com, you can do exactly what you are describing. This is the article that enabled me to do that on a hosted site with a WordPress blog in a subdirectory of the main Website. I tweaked It a bit to get the categories and number of posts that I wanted. I used it in more than one page. I do not know if you can use it to pull posts from a blog on a different server however.

Alright Im working on a website. The main domain "example.com" and the blog will be on "example.com/blog". As well as having the blog on the /blog I would like to have a small blog roll / freed of the main blog on the main domain homepage. Is there a way to do this with out having to install wordpress on the main domain?

I wanna create a page within a page like in wordpress.org plugin repository. (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/).It has different sub page like Description, Installation, FAQ, Screenshots, Changelog etc all loading under a single page.

How can i do this.

If you want to use Pages, there are two ways you can create subpages for your Gallery Page: Either using Child Pages of the Gallery Parent Page (set up in the Page attribute module) or by using a Custom Menu for your entire site.

Alternately, you might want to consider posting those images in a Post (it's content to be posted!) and then reusing them in a special Gallery page using the Post ID number from that post.

Or better still, tag those Posts with a "Gallery" category (not to be confused with the Gallery post format) and then create a Custom Menu that will display those Posts when someone clicks on the Gallery category tab in the navigation bar.

Hi there,

I've got an image gallery page on my blog (imaginatively titled 'Gallery'). What I would like to do is create sub-pages from my Gallery page so that I can add seperate image galleries according to the events at which the images were taken.

For example, from the Gallery page I would like to create a seperate sub-page/gallery for images from an event in January. And a seperate sub-page/gallery for images from an event in March, and so on. I assume the hierarchy would look something like this:

How do I do this? I've looked at the Page Attributes page in the support section, and whilst it tells me that I may be able to do this, it does not tell me HOW!

For what it's worth, my blog uses the Mystique theme.

Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated.

I did not want to delete the blog. I primarily wanted to change the sub-heading.

The blog has not been deleted. You can change you blog title and or/optional tagline at any time on this page > Settings > General. Don't forget to click "save chnages" when you are done.

My blog is currently titled, "Bombi Nation: Lincoln's Buzz of Writers." I wish to change it to, "Bombi Nation: The Happiness Project." I have poured over all of the available tools/links, and still have not found any way to change this. Furthermore, when I finally broke down and succumbed to deleting the site, I was forwarded to WP's Help page. More frustration, WP's Help was no help because when I was told to email Help, the Help page said they are no longer helping non-paying bloggers. I am at my wit's end. What can I do before I drop WP altogether?

Other possible issue: what's your screen resolution? Since you've set your blog for a RTL language, the sub-sub menus display to the left of the submenus. If your screen isn't large enough, that sub-sub menu will fall outside the browser window. If that's the case, try changing the order of the parent menu items.

It is a custom menu, yes, and yes, it was chosen from the Theme Locations module. I have the menu on the right-hand side and I have added pages. I have already made one sub menu that works just fine on the blog. Then I added pages for a sub sub menu, and I can drag and drop so that they position themselves like sub sub menus, i.e. a bit more to the right, but it does not appear on the blog.

Yes it's possible. Are you talking about a custom menu you have created in Appearamce>Menus? If so, have you selected that menu from the pulldown in the Theme Locations module?
