I went to tag surfer, I want to see all posts with tag "fun"
when I write "fun" and press add, I see "fun 2" and I am following the posts with tag "fun 2" not "fun"
What is going on?
Another thing, I see a new category called "fun-2" in my category list.
Any idea? Is it a bug?
Thanks

I don't seem to be able to either add or delete a tag in Tag Surfer. Attempting to add at tag, I type the tag name into the box and click "Add." The screen then refreshes, but my new tag name doesn't appear. Attempting to remove a specific tag, I click on the "x" to the left of the name of the tag. Again, the screen refreshes, but the name of the tag remains. I've tried refreshing the screen, and I've even tried shutting down and logging on again. Nothing helps. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks, Bill

I think 'negative' tags for the tag surfer would be a great idea...
I have politics in my tag surfer list because I like to read up on that. However, I get more articles about the Netherlands politics (which don't interest me at all) than I get Belgium ones (we share the same language).

A negative tag list, would easily solve my issue and throw out most of the Netherlands related articles...

just an idea (and probably not the first one to mention this).

I used tag surfer for a while, then gave up on it. Here are some of the problems I encountered:

1) tags were initially populated with tags I used, but after that I was restricted to manual editing of the list. There doesn't seem to be any way to reset the tag list to include tags I've added to my blog recently. Also, if I remove a tag that is currently producing a lot of junk hits, it is difficult to bring it back.

Solution: It would be nice to have the tag surfer list and the "post tags" list be merged, so there is one place to manage tags, saying both which ones are used on the blog and which ones are followed in tag surfer. The tag surfer use could be a checkbox to turn the tag on or off, or a slider to indicate how interested you are in seeing posts with this tag.

2) the relevance checking is very poor. One common tag (like "education") picks up a lot of junk, but omitting that tag then loses some of the posts I'd want tag surfer to find.

Solution: I'd like to see those posts with multiple matching tags moving ahead of those with only one tag, and rare tags (which are more specific) moving ahead of common tags. This is standard practice in search engines, and that is really what tag surfer is.

I have a similar question: I'm new to WordPress and somehow added the number "1" as a "Catagory", which I don't need, nor is it pertinent to anything, but I can't figure out how to PERMENTANTLY delete it. I do so in the 'editing' area, but whenever I revise my draft, it pops up and I have to "delete" it again.

Then I tried to convert it to something else, but it stays as "1" and it's driving me nuts!! How do I permenantly delete a catagory or tag to where it will never darken my blogs doorway again?

Any help on this would be soooo appreciated!
