Both are stripped due to security concerns. They're rather rude about it on their website actually with sites that do not allow those.

Really hate websites that can't get their act together. They have the link to wordpress pointed at the wrong site and their feedback form doesn't work either. *grumble*

I finally found an email link and dropped them a note about their link and their broken form.

I don't think you will be able to use javascript so check the code and see if that is the reason it won't display properly. You should be able to do basic html links and display images though.

This thread is a sitemeter thread and you appear to have a question pertaining to statcounter. It doesn't seem to be a a wordpress issue.
