I just made the switch from WP.com to WordPress.org because I would like to install a custom theme from ThemeForest. Even though I acquired the domain name http://isaiasgarcia.com from WP.com, I'm now hosting it via DreamHost. However, I went back to my dashboard and the PLUGIN bar still doesn't show. I chose the one-click installation from DreamHost and it said it had also already installed the latest version, WordPress 3.5.1

Could it be because I only purchased the domain On April 2 and I have to wait 60 days before the domain properly transfers to another host?

I would really appreciate the help. =)

You can move your WordPress.com blog to a web host that allows editing and uploading of completely custom themes. You can find suitable hosts here.

If you are not clear on the differences between WordPress.com and the other WordPress, I suggest reading this for clarity

WordPress.com users can use any of the 200+ themes found in our Dashboard under Appearance>Themes. Any other theme you find on the Internet meant for "WordPress" is referring to the standalone software.
