I haven't written anything yet but I have set up how I wanted my blog to look, you can take a look here.

The things I don't like about Quintus is it has low text-to-background contrast and there's a weak visual hierarchy between content and sidebar.

Then I fell in love with the Mocha Theme from StudioPress which has a design and color scheme that I feel is perfect for my blog and also has good contrast and visual hierarchy; unfortunately not available on WordPress.com.

If this theme could be added to the list of available ones great, if not no problem I'll stick with what I have since Quintus is pretty nice.

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install any third party themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

why fluid? well one because we have average display resolutions more than the default/retro 800X600, agreed css-tricks.com has more of the geeky kids. but then fluid is good for 800 even or 600 of Gruber, classic is a good theme but typography isn't suitable, not everyone wants to buy the upgrade, (or is it that you guys are creating a demand)
second reason is we prefer to see the high resolution pics in their larger sizes, Mark Jaquith's tempus fugit shows videos and images in all their splendid-ness

My problem is this I am using the Structure Theme and the theme looks like this as I checked the theme show case: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/structure/

Problem is as follows:
I am not getting the featured image to be placed in the Larger image section as shown in the Theme showcase. I had to use an image widget and place it where it is presently when it ought to be in that big white empty space.

Having a big white empty space seen when persons go to my blog is not nice.

Can someone please help me with this, thanking you in advance.
