Hi hnsaifi - I'm familiar with the inserting multiple galleries using pages and the method you mentioned, but my problem is with a specific "type" of gallery, the tiled mosaic one. All other "types" work, but not that one.

To add multiple galleries
1) Upload multiple images from your computer.
2) Add them into the post via add gallery. Don't add any parameters manually i-e gallery should look like this [gallery]
3) Add exclude=xx,xy,xz" as [gallery exclude="xx,xy,xz"] and add [gallery include="xx,xy,xz"] (where xx, xy etc are image ids)

Where to get the image attachment id?

To get an attachment ID for an image, go to your Media Library and hover over the image title you want to exclude. You can find the ID in the URL (the number after attachment_id=).

I have inserted multiple galleries into my blog with success using the gallery short codes for columns, circles and squares, such as:

[gallery id="4090" type="square"]

But this one doesn't seem to work? I've tried it with a space between the 2 words and without a space (tiled mosaic).

Hi,
I have set my gallery to cool tiled mosaic and it is displaying as thumbnails, not looking very cool. What do I need to do to fix that?

Hi Milica,

I completely understand!

When I go to the Nectarine Pits page, I see 10 images (that don't disappear) and when I check your page editor, I see 10 images in the gallery. What version of Chrome are you on? Have you cleared your cache since this was fixed? Here is more information about how to do that:

The gallery is there now, but there's still one half of it missing!
Same as with all the other galleries. Even if I delete the text, leaving just the gallery.
You can see it in the second you open a page: the images appear and after a second they disappear.
Sorry for bothering, but it really is important to me.. Thank you for all the help so far!

Hi Milica,

I think I've fixed this - on Nectarine Pits there was a lot of extra code floating around the "more to come" and associated text. I removed this - it seems to have solved the issue.

In the future, if you want to italicize text, just use the "I" button, and leave the text as a paragraph. That should help you avoid any issues like this!

In Chrome 23.0.1271.97, on this post http://milicajovanovic.wordpress.com/nectarine-pits/ I see the images in the tiled mosaic Gallery load and then they disappear. I can also confirm this only seems to be happening in Chrome. IE9 and FF17 display normally.

When viewing the blog on Google Chrome some images disappear from the galleries. It seems that the images are resized with 0 ratio and so they are not being shown. They're all there (I didn't erase any), but apparently they are displayed with 0 width and height.

Thought I'd report back and with the mobile theme enabled the gallery now behaves itself and does what it should do on both an iPhone and Android phone so looks like the issue I mentioned above has been fixed. Nice one! :)

Since I cannot see your draft posts, I looked at this post, and do not see any images that are cut off on the right.

Gallery post format only affects how your post with an image gallery will appear on the front page/homepage of your site. It doesn't affect the gallery itself. You can read more on Post Formats here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/

You don't mention which browser you are using. WordPress.com is best viewed using an up-to-date browser. I viewed your above post in both Chrome 23 and FF 17.0.1. If you need to update your browser, you can do so at http://browsehappy.com/

Hello.

I am trying to create a post that has a gallery of images. I have gone to media menu and chosen the display in mosaicoption and have scaled all my images tofit within the dimensions (ie. the largest images are 1000 x 750). I have chosen gallery format. When I preview the post, half of the images are cut off on the right side. I have tried changing the format to standard, have scaled all the images etc yet it still does it. Within the gallery, I have tried choosing random order or not with no luck.

Help!

Howdy. That's correct. Tiled galleries aren't 100% polished with responsive themes just yet, but we're getting there soon. I'll mark this resolved and closed as it's an issue that's available in the linked thread. Cheers.

From what I could tell there are issues with mosaics in general and specifically with flexible width themes that are yet to be addressed by Staff.

I'm a very big fan of WordPress and recently discovered the awesome Reddle theme. The theme is perfect for my subject matter: architecture.

The one thing I'm struggling with are galleries. When I used the one column view and checked "display all your gallery pictures in a cool mosaic" the mosaic appeared in similar to the rectangular type.

I would like to use the theme with two columns, but then the gallery gets messed up. What can I do about this? I'm wondering if I can fix it when I buy the customised design pack, but I want to be sure that the cool mosaic (or the type=rectangular) will work when I change the width of the columns?

I have unchecked the cool mosaic option and now get a gallery as displayed in this page:

I get thumbnails but would like to have my pictures in a more coherent form...

I hope you can help me and keep on developing those great themes :)

In the Nov 29/12 WP email that Krista sent explaining the new Media changes, she showed a nice photo grouping ... one large pic and 2 small pics right alongside the large one. I'd like to do the same thing but nothing I've tried so far has worked. Would it be possible for someone to set out more detailed steps to do this? Thanks very much.

@cindyjo85- http://agallerydemo.wordpress.com/2012/07/28/gallery-as-an-index-page/ is probably more along the lines you were thinking, but in order for it to work, you may want to turn on the Image Carousel or link your photos to the Attachment page because the links to the separate pages have to be written within the image caption and/or image description.

Thanks that was helpful, it sound like its not possible without using an attachment page or html coding.
