--make this title bar disappear completely (not just hid the title and subtitle text).
or
-- make the title bar alot thinner so it's only a small decorative line.
or
-- insert a custom graphic into that that area (not below it)

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Your theme is a premium theme and when you purchased it what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer. I know my way around Microsoft Front Page. Is there any way I can download the script that my friend created, use Front Page to make the additions, then upload the entire site from there?

I would like to get the site running ASAP, in time for the Christmas buying season. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Of course, that also changed the name of the blog that shows in your header area.
