You may want to try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. Also make sure you're running the latest version of your browser: http://browsehappy.com
Then, try reconnecting Publicize to Twitter.

Hello

I am new, but I understand most things about the dashboard, and how it works. One feature of WordPress that I really wanted and understood from the start was, the automatic "push" out to Facebook and Twitter each time I post.

So I set up my dashboard to do both, and from day one, the Facebook one worked perfectly, and the Twitter one fails every time.

I then push the "Authorise connection with Twitter" button, which immediately takes me to an error page that says:

"Whoa there!

The request token for this page is invalid. It may have already been used, or expired because it is too old. Please go back to the site or application that sent you here and try again; it was probably just a mistake."

I've checked my settings on Twitter, and it shows that it allows WordPress - but, I can't get it to authorise from the WordPress side. The error message seemed pretty stupid the first time - "invalid", how could a token that had never been used aleady be "invalid"? Now, I've seen that message 22 times, once for each post.

How can I fix this? What do I have to do to get the WordPress app to REALISE that I've already told Twitter that it's OK for Word Press to push the message about the blog entry to it?

Please help, my Word Press experience WOULD have been 100% positive if it weren't for this irritating, unsolved issue - please someone tell me step by step what to do to "force" twitter and word press to play nicely together :-)

Thanks!

Dave

I cleaned up the connections and did from scratch. Well, it doesn't show any error message now but my posts still don't go to LinkedIn. They show up in Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo! and Windows Live but not LinkedIn. Please check.

Hi, I'm not sure what could be causing this. The LinkedIn connection is working properly on the accounts I test it with.

If it's still not working can you try logging in to LinkedIn and checking to see if there are any WordPress.com connections listed for your account? If so I'd recommend removing those and starting things from scratch.

If they deleted the blog as you requested then it is gone forever. WordPress will not recycle any blog names.

I think WordPress is missing a chance to make a few dollars, allow a moderated one way message or two to be sent to old blogs that have not been used, charge a few dollars to send a couple of messages to the last know email address, and help the transfer if someone is willing to give up the name. By having any messages moderated by Staff the privacy of the blog owners is still respected.

I set up Publicize for my blog to connect with my Twitter account some time back. Apparently I never finished the activation step as now, when I go to publish a new blog post, I'm told Twitter needs to be verified.

Great, I think. I click on the provided link and...get an error (on Twitter's site)

"Woah there!

This page is no longer valid. It looks like someone already used the token information you provided. Please return to the site that sent you to this page and try again … it was probably an honest mistake."

How could I have already used the information? Is there anyway to get a new token?

Thanks in advance for any help...
