It would be nice if WP had a mechanism to either remove automatically deleted blogs or dead websites. However, what I do every 6 months or so, start at the bottom of my follow list and click each one, I see if they're either dead or no longer posting.

Clicking in the link lists them. Whether there is a way to tell who specifically unfollows you I don't know.

But because I don't follow blogs just because they follow me I dont have the issue of revenge unfollowing. If you just follow blogs you enjoy reading you won't have that problem.

We can't fix it but they can. All they have to do is click the "unsubscribe" link on the emails received at the very bottom of the emails.
