We could really do with having the WordPress Download Manager plugin added to WordPress.com, as part of our project encourages us to track how many people download files from our blog to gauge statistics of potential interest (e.g. tracking people downloading enrolment forms).
It would also be a useful tool for sharing files with other organisations in our funding stream using the password protection that is implemented in the plugin.

Here's a link to the plugin in question:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/download-manager/installation/

Thanks,
I go to Longwood University.

Honestly, you're leaving a lot of personal stuff on your blog that could identify you...

People / groups / organizations / schools often set up "Google Alerts" so that when someone publishes material using keywords, like "Longwood U.", they get an email with the link.

Someone searching Google for Longwood could also find your blog.

If you want to be anonymous, you might want to start over. Or just go with it.

The trials and tribulations of a Longwood Transfer Student!

Your first mistake was using the school's real name. That narrows it down from a possibly 6 billion people to the population of your school.

If having a blog is going to be a problem, make this one "Private", then create an entirely new account and blog. If you want readers, but not people you know, don't give out the address to anyone. Don't use place names, even the name of the city you're in.

You could also delete all of the material from your original blog -- the one the school knows about -- and turn it into something totally innocuous, like a photo blog.

Just keep in mind, 'anonymous' is very difficult.

I love that readers of my blog can click the share buttons to post about my blog on their social media site -- like Facebook and Twitter.
What I would love even more is (as the admin of my blog) to be able to tell who did the sharing. For example, I can see that 3 people clicked the Facebook share and 2 others clicked the Twitter share, but I don't see anywhere in any of the maintainance pages a means to determine which reader did these shares. Is it possible?
Thanks forum peoples. You're awesome.
Unless you don't answer this. Then your just ok.
