I recently added a blog to my account but then realized I wanted to move it to a new account altogether. I followed the directions found on the support page here:

However, after following the instructions exactly, I did not receive any confirmation whatsoever (it says I'll receive via email but did not) and there is no way for me to contact anyone at WordPress to get this resolved quickly, Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to get WordPress tech support on the phone (or even via email)?

Thanks

yes upgrades can be transferred from one account to another account with staff help - The staff will need to see the account holder post here that they would like to have the domain name transferred to a different account and the transferred to account will need to be named.

It looks like the domain name just expired a couple of days ago so speed is important to keep from needing to pay a renewal penalty - the domain mapping should probably also be transferred

Hi there,

I've got a blog with some friends, using WordPress (http://galacticow.wordpress.com).

Our domain (http://galacticow.com) was purchased by another friend, and now that domain has expired.

First, I don't know if I should pay the $5 domain registration again (if it is already registred, even it has expired, I suppose that it is still registered).

Second: our friend (who purchased the domain), is wondering if it is possible to change the account which owns that domain. It is linked to him, but he doesn't actually owns the blog, but the domain (we didn't have credit card when we first purchased the domain and asked him to do it).

So, I'm wondering if WordPress staff can do some gestions to change domain owner if it is accepted by the current domain owner.

I don't know if I have explained myself good enough, so if there is any doubt, just reply with a question.

If everything is clear, please, give us some information to solve that problem.

Thank you in advance.

PS: I meant transferring domain owner to another wp account.
I just signed up yesterday, so I only have the default blog published with no changes made to it. It didn't really make sense to reference that blog for purposes relating to my question. I'm just wanted to do a little information gathering before I really delve into WordPress to ensure that what I'm trying to do is possible, saving myself valuable time and resources.

Is it possible to publish a blog under my account, then transfer that blog to an entirely separate user account. And if so, could someone please post a link to the support page explaining the correct way this should be done. I'm thinking about publishing a blog for my church, then having my pastors wife register an account, and transferring that blog over to her separate account. This way most of the technical stuff will be done and all she (and other church members) will have to do is post basically.

So I have two WordPress blogs, but one is semi-old (I stopped writing in it in 2009). I made another one fairly recently, but want to import all my posts from the older one into the new one, so everything is in one place. However, I still want my old blog to remain active for those still subscribed to it. Is there an easy way to do this without permanently deleting anything?
