I always see the words "2 thoughts on" in my page, showing that I have 2 comments on my post.
In portughese (my language) that should be "2 comentários".

i had a look at your blog and the option you give i think it could be allright for me so i will do some tests in an addon domain i have and lets see

There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install plugins. We cannot use Microsoft or Google translation widgets or any others, as they are JavaScript and it's stripped out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

If you are bilingual or multilingual and want to publish your free hosted WordPress.com in two or more languages but do not want to rely on machine translation that can be done. You can have two or more blogs in different languages and interlink them via custom menus. hello,

i have read a few articles about multi lingual options and pluggings but i do no really know the one that suites me.

Actually i want to make my site in two (maybe even 3 languages) because my prospect visitors are from different countries. I will translate the posts myself so no need for auto translate.

Ideally would automatically (im a beginner user) set up the same page in two languages with the option to change with a button (like flags for the country language) from one to another.

Every time i will make a post, page, subpage or whatsoever will ask me the language and i will choose one or another.

is that possible? or at least something similar?

there are so many options out there that for the ones that we dont know a lot is not easy to chose.

Correct, the current Polish validator seems to be inactive. I reached out to him to get a status update and will let you know once I hear back. We can always try to get another validator (can be more than one), so that the translation project does not stagnate.

Thank you for your reply. I've already read that and I put this other widget. But I don't like to the flags on this image. I would prefer France, Portugal, Spain flags instead. But I did not find the way to change the code.
ALso I am trying now to insert an image with a clickable link (Google Trad). The Problem is that it takes too much room for each image in the sidebar...

Hi,
I'd like to have the sidebar on the left and the view of the summarized posts only. I remember that it is possible to change with other Theme but with Bueno, I don't find where.
In addition, I would like to add small images (flags) in a text widget for the translation function that will redirect to the translation website. But I cannot find how I can do. I don't have access to the FTP as I am on the free version of wordpress.com.

Hi,
so, a couple of days ago I was looking for a solution for translating some of the WordPress content that shows up in English on my Polish blog and I have been redirected to contribute to the GlotPress project in my language. I love projects like this and I am more than happy to volunteer, I just see one not-so-small issue.

There are over 1 400 strings translated as of today but they are all somehow stuck in a queue, waiting to be approved. As far as I understand – please, bear with me, I have only discovered GlotPress yesterday – new translations are only implemented if there is a group of at least 200 validated, warning-free strings. This lead to me wondering, perhaps there no active Polish validators, then? It is not like the phrase I wanted to translate needs to implemented right away, I just got a bit worried about all that volunteer work going to waste.

Perhaps someone could explain the situation to me or maybe this post will just bring someone's attention to the matter :-)

Hi,
I've been working with CSS customisation for my soon-to-be-open blog on wordpress.com and I am currently at translating menus into Polish. I used the brilliant solution from here to change 'Recent Articles' and 'More Articles' to their Polish names and what now remains is the 'Read Article' button that appears when one hovers over one of the three recent articles. I want it to say 'Czytaj' instead of 'Read Article'. I tried modifying the solution from the link above but it seems too difficult for me (I managed to find that this element is marked as 'read-more' and that was it :D).

I would really appreciate some help! Thanks.

For Gravatar, the validator is "titanas". For Jetpack, there is currently no validator -- are you interested, and do you have availability to be a validator?
