There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. To have plugins you need to hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install.
There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes this.

2. I then added a Text widget to the side bar and pasted this code and clicked save.
3. When I see in the blog, the widget is not appearing correctly. Infact, after pasting the code in the text widget, it is automatically deleting few portion of this code and keeping the rest as shown below.
