I added some suggestions for Norwegian Bokmål translations to wordpress.com on http://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom

I also noticed that pretty good suggestions from other users have been "Waiting" for more than 3 months.

Can I become a validator myself? The first thing I added a suggestion for was "Recent Posts", which looks silly on the front page of a Norwegian blog...

@theaccidentalblog91 - Unfortunately, we don't yet have editors curating the content on the non-English Freshly Pressed pages, so what shows up there is based on stats. Figuring out how to improve the non-English Freshly Pressed pages is definitely on our radar, though, so if you have ideas, let us know!

I don't think what's featured there are "good blogs" and "good" is subjective. I think what's featured there are beginner blogs and the idea may be fto encourage beginner bloggers by sending them traffic that skews their stats by producing a tsunami of traffic that bounces in and out. No experienced blogger welcomes a high bounce rate. Only baby bloggers think that a flood of traffic that does not produce a significant number of subscribers and comments is cool because they don't have the full picture of blogging yet; they only see snapshots.

Well, I was browsing the Arabic version of WordPress and got surprised by the "Freshly Pressed" section! It features crappy stuff about Korean celebrities EVERYDAY, and some featured pots are of the same title!

Isn't that section supposed to feature the best of the blogs?? Who's responsible for that mess!

I'm sorry, but the translations forum is not for translating individual blogs. People involved with translations are making the themes work in different languages. For example "Home" "about" the words in your dashboard, the footer information with the name of the designer, and other technical things like that.

In your own blog the date on a post is designated as " 23 četvrtak avg 2012 "
and in English the word would be "Categories" but on your site it says, "♣ Kategorije"

This is a translation issue. The Dutch translation for the left and right double angle quotation marks are translated with additional words in addition to the symbols. You can correct this by submitting a new translation for them (without the wording) to the WordPress translation project. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/translation-faq/

Hi! In my blog with the autofocus theme i would like to remove the tekst terug en volgende (to go back and forward) and only keep the << and >> sign, because a part of the text is behind my pictures. How can i fix this? Other blogs i see have only the sign, without the words!

Imbalance 2 offers two layout options, fluid and fixed.
Fluid means the width changes according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.
Fixed means the width does not change according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.

Column one is the blog title and tagline; you edit them in Settings > General.
Columns two and three are for two menus; you create and load them in Appearance > Menus - instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Column four is for widgets; you add them in Appearance > Widgets.

When you activate a new theme there is a default display that aren't actual widgets. You go here > Appearance > Widgets and choose the ones you want to display. When you do that the deafult sidplay vis overridden and disappears.

There is comment form available at the end of each post your WordPress blog and some blogs also have a contact form. After the form is completed and submitted, the name and e-mail address of the person making the comment will appear and remain visible to them until they log-out. WordPress.com uses cookies to keep track of commenters so if someone makes a comment on your blog, the next time they come to your blog, unless they have cleared their cookies, WordPress.com will recognize them and complete the details for them. No one else will be able to view those details in comment boxes or in contact forms. The next person who comments will see blank fields. Commenters will not see each other’s details. Log out and clear your browser cache and cookies and it's gone.

You are describing a bilingual theme but we do not have such themes at WordPress.com. We can set only one interface language for our WordPress.com blogs here > Settings > General

You can have 2 blogs in 2 different languages, of course, but we have don't support automatic translations between them.

You'd need to write a blog post in the two languages and then post to each blog (or post the two versions of the entry on the same blog, make each language category, create a custom menu and add the categories pages to it).
