These images appear on Facebook and Twitter and there is no problem at all.
But one day I decided to try to use the search bar of my own blog. The results were horrible. I was looking for a page that included a featured image, but it was way too big! It didn't fit there, so half of it wasn't even visible (look at the image below).
Now I want to re-upload all my pictures at a correct size, so that they can be featured images, without being way too big or way too small. But...what size should they be?
P.S. I use the Modularity Lite Theme.

I'm using a japanese Mac and I didn't realize my text had an invalid character which corrupted the post. That's why it didn't appear in the feed reader!
I found the character, deleted it, cleared cache and cookies and restarted my browser. My post finally showed up in the feed reader, yeah! :D

It haven't showed up in the Reader yet! What's the problem this time? I've used 12 total categories and tags, there are no weird links, nothing strange. I can't understand.
It took me many hours to write that post, it's about an important topic and I'm pretty upset I can't have all the visibility it deserves.
Could you please check and have it appear in the Reader?

For example:
<p>Pre-heat the oven to 190C - gas 5.</p>
<p>Boil water and salt.</p>
<p>Peel and cut the potatoes in half; wash them in warm water.</p>
<p>Place the potatoes in the salty water and leave to boil for 5-7 minutes.</p>
<p>Drain the water and shake the pan to roughen up the potatoes a bit.</p>
<p>Rub some oil on a large roasting pan and lay the baking sheet on top. Add 4 tablespoons of olive oil to the baking sheet and spread the potatoes over it, coating the potatoes with the oil.</p>
<p>Place in the oven and cook for 40 minutes or until they are turning nice and brown</p>
<p>Serve with gravy.</p>

That's just appalling.

To fix this, and to prevent it from happening again, go to your dashboard Settings->Writing page and select "Wordpress should correct invalidly nested XHTML" and save.

Then go to Dashboard->Posts and select the most recent posts, all of them. Set them to Draft using the bulk editor (the drop-down button there, you'll see it). Set them back to Public. This forces the change above to take effect.

That should fix this and prevent it from happening again.
