I'm having trouble changing the background color of the drop down menu in a Twenty Twelve child theme.

The site is http://www.onceuponahorse.org/new

When you hover over "news and events" or "saddletime farm" I want a drop down to appear in purple with white text. Right now the drop down is almost transparent until you slide down then its gray.

I'm modifying theme Twenty Twelve with a child theme.

Also, would like to know if its possible to wrap wording in top menu items to two lines instead of stretching the menu onto two lines.

Thanks.

Hello, a couple of months ago I was working on a wordpress site and with the help of a great staffer, I was able to create some custom CSS to fix a problem I was having with getting my custom headers to appear on the mobile theme version of this site.

here is a link to that support thread: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/twenty-twelve-random-image-header-not-working-on-mobile

The problem was that when I chose "random" for my headers they would not show up at all on the mobile theme at all. With her help I was able to write some custom CSS that would tell the mobile them a specific header image to be shown for each page.

The other day, I purchased my approved stock imagery and uploaded the new image files to my media library (and renamed the paths in my CSS to reflect the new image names) but now nothing is showing up on the mobile theme again.

I've been going over the CSS and my old support thread for a while now and I can't figure out what changed that is causing this to not work anymore.

If anyone has an idea, i'd very much appreciate your insight.

-Kyle

Hi again,
I figured out how to change the text colour.
I tried to remove the icon but it has been replaced with a square..
Here's what I changed :
before     .entry-header .comments-link a {
background: #eee url(images/comment-bubble.png) no-repeat;
now         .entry-header .comments-link a {
background: #fff;
Can I just remove the link?
Last question (sorry I'm new to this): I would just like to get rid of the border around all the images, here's what I changed but it doesn't seem to work:

img[class*="align"],
img[class*="wp-image-"],
#content .gallery .gallery-icon img {
border: none;
}
.wp-caption img {
border: none;
}
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi there,
I was wondering if I can easily get rid of the little icon at the right of each heading in the twenty twelve theme?
Also I would like to change the colour of the highlighted words into a dark grey, is it just the 'strong' style which needs to be changed?
Thanks very much for your help.

When I land on the submenu page, which then becomes the current page, note that the primary menu name is bold, but grey. I wanted it to turn blue (and remain bold) so that it will signify which primary menu the subpage falls under.

In web jargon, or at least using the words the theme author has to label things, the parent menu items are an ancestor of the current submenu page. Hopefully that makes a little sense :) and I think the example I gave just before your last post will work, did you try adding it?
