I usually schedule all my posts: one every morning. The posts are shared on my personal twitter account and on the blog's facebook page. Yesterday, as usually, the post went on air but the link wasn't shared. I disconnected all my sharing accounts, took the post off, connected again, published it again and nothing happened. so I posted the link by myself. Today the same thing happened again: nothing shared. I don't know whats is happening, because evertything always went so easy. Please, help me.

But I should have elaborated further: I wanted a general dump of my Twitter "archives" into WordPress.com. And I thought perhaps sometime in the near/distant future, there would be a WordPress.com "import" available from the Twitter system.

Hi,

Generally, that is a restriction on Twitter's end and not something that WordPress can change or control. I would think that Twitter wants to include it as your RTs would appear showing the avatar of the original tweet's poster.

The older widget won't work, no, as Twitter has deactivated the code that allowed that to work.

If you have the Custom Design add-on, we could add a little CSS that would hide the display of the avatar. (Caveat: I have no idea if doing so is in compliance with Twitter's Terms of Service for displaying the timeline on your site.)

My Follow Widget is displaying the wrong Twitter handle to follow.

A new non-Wordpress user uses the Follow Widget to subscribe. They then get the "thank you message" that says "The authors can also be followed on:" It lists two Twitter accounts. One, is a personal account that we would like removed. We have removed this contributor from having access to the page thinking that would solve it, but it is still appearing. We added our Twitter handle through Publicize and it started appearing in the Follow widget, however, this second Twitter handle has not disappeared.

I have tried removing the contributor whose handle this is and it still is appearing when a new user subscribes to the blog.

I submitted a Help ticket, and he said he was working on it ... just wondered if anyone had this issue before and what they did to solve it.

Hi there.

I've had a look for an answer/explanation to this and am struggling.

I am using the BootStrap theme on my site and have made several posts over the last few months without issue.

I recently wrote a blog post though that isn't showing the Sharing buttons at teh bottom of my post for some reason, but I can't figure out why.. You will also notice that the Facebook Like button doesn't show either, but does show on the 'working' post.

Here is the post where they don't show: Not Working

Here is a post where it does show: Working

It's as though it's losing the javascript functionality or something?

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

You could possibly do it using Custom CSS if you have purchased the Custom Design addon. Something like this should work:

.social-links {
position: absolute;
top: 30px;
right: 100px;
}

You would have to play with the top and right pixel values to get it to show in the right spot.
