My Twitter widget suddenly isn't displaying my Tweets. I deleted it and then re-inserted the widget again but it's still not working.

Any ideas?

I've just cleared my cache and cookies, and double-checked to make sure my Twitter isn't protected, and still no luck. Could it be that I chose a theme (Auto Focus by Allan Cole) that doesn't support widgets? The "Quick Specs" for the theme says it does:

"Widget-enabled sidebars are enabled on all pages.
Single post sidebars will in lieu of widgets show important post metadata."

Note that if Protect my updates is checked in your Twitter account, this widget will not be able to access your Tweets. See Public vs. Private at Twitter. http://help.twitter.com/forums/10711/entries/14016

You can add a "follow me on twitter" button to your site's sidebar, without having to add tweets themselves.

Hi, I help manage http://www.teachablemomentsinternational.org/ and we had a twitter feed down the right column until a week or so ago. The Twitter logo is still there, but the messages are not showing.

It says, "RSS Error: A feed could not be found at https://twitter.com/TeachMomentsInt. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed."

How can I fix this? Please help!

I've been trying everything, to get my Twitter feed to properly update on my blog (Linedriven.com, theme = Pagelines | Platform.) Instead, no matter what, under "Twitter Feed" my sidebar reads "Error: Twitter did not respond. Please wait a few minutes and refresh this page."

Using http vs. https in Twitter's URL doesn't help; neither does tinkering with my username (it's jzitrin, not complicated) nor the Twitter Widget support page. (I've also already de-selected "Protect My Updates" in my privacy settings on Twitter.) One thing I notice is that some of the things mentioned on the Twitter Widget support page -- for example, the option to "display follow button," which would definitely be nice -- are not actually present in the Pagelines Twitter Widget options.

No matter the cause, could anyone, P-p-p-please, help me get my theme / WP site to read my feed?

I'm Tweetin' my thumbs off here!

Doesn't seem to be working like that though. I have tweeted myself and so has a friend - both tweets have been published but neither have been picked up by the RSS feed. That's why I asked about the refresh rate.

For some sites, they're updated whenever a new reader comes along. That's the case at Wp.com.

One final question. Do you know how often RSS feeds are updated? the feed shows all my updates from 24 hours ago but I hope it updates more often than once per day. Does anyone know?
