Hey, many thanks amightywp. That's great news!

I've no idea why it didn't work on any of the occasions when I tried it, but it's good to see that all the text is now moved over. Now I just need to go back and upload all of the images to WP instead of Typepad - but that should be quite straightforward.

Hi there,

I was able to see a previous attempt at an import and restarted that. Your blog is now importing and I am seeing posts being added to your blog successfully. Things should work out fine now!

I followed the Typepad instructions to export my blog to an xml file. Reading that file (with Notepad) it looks to be perfectly intact. It is only 190kB, and only text (ie no photos).

I created a new WP blog, and via my Dashboard selected the xml file to import. I got an email from WP saying my import had been successful, but it doesn't appear anywhere in my blog. I left it several days in case it took some time to replicate on a different server or something similar, but still no joy. I have cleared my browser cache (Chrome), but again to no avail. I have tried this multiple times, and each time get the same confirmation from WP. My blog only shows one post (the standard one for a new WP account).

Reading the forums it seems that I'm not the first to experience this, but I don't see any solutions posted. Any clues very gratefully received.

At last I believe we've wrapped this up. At any rate, we've done all that we can with our our automated tools and some manual scanning of posts.

Please review your site, check for any major issues, and let us know if we can help with anything else. If there's a method of downloading your images from TypePad as a backup, that'd be a good idea. I believe we've captured all of the images.

There remain some references to old TypePad popup urls in the posts, but to the best of my knowledge, none of these are actually visibly clickable (I manually corrected the ones that were clickable). Cheers.

Any news on getting our photos to show up? We've made our blog private until the problem us resolved and really want to get it public again. Is there anything we can do to resolve the problem?

I migrated from Typepad and all was well. Then I reset nameservers to redirect the domain name from Typepad to WP and now no photos are showing up in my old posts. And when I go back to my Typepad blog no photos show up there either. When I click on the link where the photos are supposed to be, it takes me to the same post on my new WP blog and there is no photo. I have tried migrating again and cleared cache & cookies and still no photos. I'd love any suggestions anyone has for me. Thanks.

Hi there - I see posts on your site going back to 2008, through this month. Are you still missing any posts? Sometimes large imports take a while to complete. Please let us know if you still need help and we'll investigate further.

Yes, I tried Firefox 17 , still not work. I don't think that is a browser issue. I am really upset with that, check online, seem like a common issue with no fully satisfied answer for the problem. Please help if it is possible, so I can stick to wordpress

I am using firefox 16.0.1 and also chrome , using linux ubuntu OS . No working on the import. So I don't really think that is the brower problem.

the import typepad blog to my wordpress account does not work. I used import tool to import the data file from typepad to my wordpress account. No work. I tried to saved the file as .txt and .xml extensions. Got email with success message but never showed on my post site. I doubt if there is a bug on the import software of wordpress. Please help.

Really appreciate if you can help me as soon as possible.
