It is a shame there isn't a way to manage them better :(
Well, I will just have to delete them and then reupload into the sub-pages.
Perhaps WordPress should consider adding the ability to unattach pictures!

As already uploaded them, you'll have to edit the images one-by-one. http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/ The best think to do is put them in a single folder on your computer, highlight them all and rename them before you bulk upload images to a photo gallery. This is an excellent resource on Galleries and image management.

If you do want the attachment page, you have to re-upload the images: there's no other way to "attach photos to two posts". When you are about to insert an image, you get three options - see here: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/04/26/images-the-three-link-options/ You can select None or File URL. I am currently trying to re-organise a section of my blog that has become rather large.
The page in question is this one: http://retrovgm.wordpress.com/custom/wallpapers/

As you can see there are a rather lot of pictures contained within this page.
I would like to re-organise the pictures into sub-sections (the pages are setup just not visible yet).
I need a way to unattach the pictures currently there so that I can then reattach them to the new page.

Does anyone know how this can be done? (Preferably in bulk!)
