Why don't you test changes before foisting them on people?

We test most changes for a month or two ourselves before deploying them.

There is no way that a constantly changing format is preferable to a solid, reliable one.

If we didn't make updates, you'd be stuck with the same old thing from 2005. No widgets, no tags, no video embeds, no custom domains, 7 themes, etc. If you want a WordPress installation that is never updated, I recommend managing your own. http://wordpress.org/

Yes, except for the major functionality and design upgrades that they went through over the past 7 years, just like us. They also run into the same bugs, just like us. That's part of what running a live system is all about. You can test something with 120 employees all you want, but once you release it to (currently) 42,164,656 users, someone is bound to find something you missed.

All of these issues are related to my original post, which was not about links. I think these are reasonable questions, and I would direct them straight to WordPress, but they're not really into things like customer feedback and inquiry. This is the closest to contacting the company, so here we are.

By the way, Blogger still works like Blogger, and tumblr still works like tumblr, so it's reasonable to wonder why people are running around trying to fix what ain't broke.

Links don't work. Not the link button, not typed HTML hyperlinks, nothing.

Do not log-in on the front page of WordPress.com. Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/

Instead I recommend that you ONLY log-in directly you your own blog and ONLY create posts and edit them here > Dashboard > Posts > Add New

It's clear that you are frustrated and unhappy, but without specific information we cannot help you. If you do decide to provide some more particulars, we could well assist you.

This is the place to get support for using the WordPress.com platform.

If we volunteers are not able to help, then staff will assist you here in these forums. Most support comes from us volunteers and we can certainly understand that when folks get frustrated they may not present their best side, but we do want to keep the discussions friendly and to the point. Cursing is not pleasant for anyone.

(1) How are are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?

I'm asking because the way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

(2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
