Then you might want to try updating to 15.01, which is the most stable current version. However, do NOT update to version 16 as a bug was announced a few days ago. (This news article has info about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19909106 )

However, something that might work (though I'm not sure) is you could try blocking Zemanta's cookies (that's what I'd try). To do that, go to Tools in your Firefox browser, click on Options, then on Exceptions, then enter the URL of the cookie in the field and click 'Block'. It's a long-shot, but it might work.

The only other thing I can think of at the moment is to suggest that you contact Zemanta direct.

Background:
I've got a webcomic at http://www.dummyduck.com/wordpress/
I've got ComicPress installed, and some other plugins.
Up until yesterday it was fine.
I clicked on the "Update Plugins" button.
Now, when I log into wordress, my admin page looks like this:

http://www.dummyduck.com/wordpress.png

I tried removing all the plugins and re-installing ComicPress.
Do I need to completely reinstall WordPress? If I do that, is there any way to save all my old posts?
Please help! Thanks!

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is really a question for WordPress and it's users, as it is more of a hosting problem, but since 123-reg haven't responded to my e-mails I thought I would ask for help here.

I am just starting out with WordPress and as explained, I am using 123-reg as my hosting.

With my hosting, my main domain name is designedbyross.co.uk, within this I set up a folder (called 'wordpress') to map to my WP blog. I went ahead and mapped the domain, then proceeded to install the WP app that is offered on 123 reg, the installation went smoothly however all of the links/images/css files etc were pointing to the wrong locations (due to the mapping) - I then decided to uninstall the WP app and start again.

So this time I created a folder 'blog63' , and installed the WP app within it, this went fine and designedbyross.co.uk/blog63 worked accordingly with all files now pointing to the correct paths. However, after re-mapping my other domain to the blog63 folder and attempting to load the website, it is still looking for the old 'wordpress' folder and therefore gives me a 404 Not Found Error.

Really hope someone can point me in the right direction of how to solve this issue.

If you got this far, thanks for reading!

Ross

I recently tried to uninstall the Adhesive plugin, and every time I either deactivated it or deleted it outright, I got a 500 server error on all my pages containing posts.

Once I reinstall or activate it again, everything is fine. But it's clearly corrupted and I want to get rid of it completely.

I read this section in the WordPress help area:

Hiding Plugins When Deactivated

Some plugins feature tags inside of the template files. If the plugin is not activated, it will "break" the Theme and it may report errors or fail to load. It is therefore imperative to prevent the plugin from being detected in case it is turned off.

But I'm not sure what to remove, where to remove, etc, etc.

I just want the plugin out of my life!!!

Please help me. And if you know the answer, please be detailed. FYI, the author failed to respond to my multiple requests for help. Felt that was rather unprofessional.

Thank you.
