I thought you had actually lost a post while creating it. However, I'm happy to know once I understood what you meant that I was able to help you. Do be aware that it can take weeks for posts to be indexed and show up in the Google SERPs (search engine page results). The article I linked to contains the 10 factors that expedite indexing. Most important of all is to frequently publish original content -- engaging content that other bloggers choose to backlink to in posts of their own.

Well it takes time for search engines to index content so this is not unusual. Please verify your blog ownership with the major search engines using this process. Then read this as it contains the 10 factors that may expedite indexing. OMG! I can’t find my blog on Google

That is good news. Go to screen options and select all the modules. http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/#list-of-modules

Edit the post please > Posts -> All Posts in your dashboard menu.
When it is open go to the Publish module on the far left hand side and look to see whether or not it is:
private
public
password protected

Check the date and time stamp and be sure they are correct.

Thank you very much. But in my inexperience I must have done something wrong (well I'm still doing it, since I have not been able to retrieve my post in the search engine). Note also that in the future if you use windows live writer or Ecto or another offline editor to post to you blog you will always have a copy of every post or page you create.
