What is the UTC and what is the setting for USA Central time?

The date and time "stamped" on my post is not correct. I manually changed it. Shouldn't this happen automatically when I post?

Did you choose a city in the drop-down provided that's the closet one to you and in the same time zone? I did and that worked for me.

Settings > General

Timezone
Choose a city in the same timezone as you.

Fine.
But no way, to make the last part +0300 ?

Otherwise, I want to remove the "+0000" part...

it could be GMT +3 UTC +3 or any equivalent of that.

If that is not possible, forget that part.

Assume it is your blog and what would you do to get a time and date format like this:
the weekday, the month, the date number, the year PLUS the hour.

Give me the code I should put on my General Setting.
On date format and Time format options.

Dashboard -> Settings

Select custom. Delete and put 'r' in the box.

That will give you the date and time in the following format: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 16:01:07 +0200

I believe that is as close as you'll be able to get to the format you want on wordpress.com since you can't modify the PHP calls directly.

I'm sorry but we Volunteers do not have backend access to blogs and we can't do this for you. Therefore you must follow the instructions provided in the support documentation under General Settings > Settings > General

Can any one tell me how to set the date and time format?

Please, don't tell me to read the support page....it is confusing.

Just tell me what I should do to see on my posts this type of date and time:

Go to settings > general and set the correct offset from GMT/UTC for your particular timezone and click "save changes."

Please make your forum post titles more specific: everyone posting here is by definition experiencing a problem. If you put the actual problem in the title, then it's much faster to get the attention of people with solutions.

You can change the date under Settings->General.

When I post something on my blog, the date (disposed in the top) is is appearing with the letters UTC. Like 3 UTC de Novembro UTC de 2009. How can i make to take this off my blog??? thanks pals

It's happened to me, but only a few (2) times.

I think it's something they don't know how to fix.

Almost always scheduling a post in future works for me, except for 1 or 2 times.

I don't think they WILL respond. I reported this about a year and a half ago. They know about it. Reporting it doesn't get you a response, it just gets it noted that it's happening on your blog too.

It's a known bug on Wp.com blogs; used to be they'd go up but not get on the category pages, but that's changed now. Report it to staff via your Contact Support button.

We can't help you unless we have a link to your blog, starting with http. We basically always need to see the blog.

You could just link it to your name under Website on the Profile page, though. Then your username would always link back to the blog.

I've been dealing with this all morning and no one seems to help me. Ever since the time change, The UTC has not been reading my articles and they have not been going up. No one has any answers and its annoying me to know that I pay money to be on here and I get no or rude help.

I have to edit and repost every hour and basically waisted my time pre-posting all these articles i put up.

What good is Scheduling a post when it does not work???

is anyone else dealing with this problem?

My solution is to run with Google Analytics tracking on my blog (as well as the WP blog stats). Google Analytics is free and easy to set up. There is also a wordpress plugin to make setting things up really easy.

GA lets you set the timezone for your stats, and tells you lots of other interesting information about your visitors.

You could move to London. Then your stats would change every day at midnight.

Or you could remember that WordPress works world-wide and the clock they run on is GMT. Midnight/change to a new day is the same every day, GMT or Universal Time Convention (UTC).

It is the same 24 hours, everyday. There is nothing magical about the date changing at midnight in your particular time zone. With WordPress, and the world in general, it is always the same 24 hours and you just have a different midnight from the standard on wordpress.

If you look at the bottom of the Stats page, you'll see a note that Stats run on GMT. No way to change it.

I live in north carolina and have my utc set at -5. I think -5 is correct for EST. However, my blog doesn't keep stats correctly. It will be 6pm my time & my blog is already keeping stats for the next day. How can I fix this problem?

WordPress itself goes by UTC for stats and such, including the times things are posted here in the forums. The setting for the timezone offset only effects the time/date shown on blog posts and such. Stats are figured on UTC time.
