I'm wanting to replicate this websites http://www.donnaandtora.com/ follow us twitter button fixed to right hand side of browser window. To my shame I don't know name of this capability. Is there a plugin?

Hi, when I 'add media' to upload vertical images into a post, it automatically uploads them 90 degrees out so that they appear as horizontal instead of vertical. They are then inserted into the post but are on the incorrect angle.

I've searched the forums and this appears to be a problem with the home page, but not when just inserted into the post.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this? I've resized multiple times but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

@elliemade,

This is nothing to do with our theme improvement and it is purely caused by your custom CSS. You have this in your custom CSS but the value "center" is not valid value for float property. I'm not sure what you are trying to do here but if you remove that, the navigation will line-up horizontally.

#access li { float: center; padding: 0; margin: 0; }

I'm having trouble with the theme (Quintus) I've customized (perhaps, somewhat clumsily, as I'm still learning) in Safari. It looks great in IE and Firefox, but in Safari, it stacks the navigation vertically, instead of displaying it horizontally, like in other browsers.

Any ideas for how to fix this? Thanks for any help!!

Ok, so my first posts weren't at the normal size. I don't know how I did that! I just posted them in a very simple way. It is quite strange.
If there is only one size, that's ok, I have to accept it. And you are right, that way it is easier to view them.

Frankly I don't know how you managed to fool the theme into displaying the image as in the second example you linked to. As I'm saying in the post I linked to, the theme is coded to display portrait-shaped images at a maximum of 560px wide. And it makes sense: at the size you seem to prefer, a portrait-shaped image can't be viewed in its entirety without scrolling down or zooming out.
The "Thumbnail", "Medium" etc. options have no effect in Duotone.

I understand what you are saying, and it is true that the quality is better that way. What I don't understand, is that from the beginning, I always uploaded my photos in a medium size. But now the vertical photos are appearing narrower than before. Why?

That's the way portrait-shaped images are supposed to show up in Duotone.
You've been uploading huge files: this way you waste your storage space, and you get worse quality on the post (because images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness). Before uploading images, you should downsize them using an image editing application (or an online tool). See here (note 4 near the bottom) for maximum and recommended pixel dimensions:

I confirm, when I edit my other vertical photos in order to remove the sharing buttons, they become narrower...
And now all my new posts with vertical photos are like that... I don't understand at all... Help!

Hi,
I started a blog on duotone this week, and I had no problem to post my photos. But today I edited my two last posts in order to change a thing (not to show sharing buttons), and when I made the update and view the post, the vertical photo appeared with another size (more little), thing that I don't like at all.
I don't understand why it happened. Maybe I modified something involuntarily? I can't manage to put it like it was before, as others vertical photos in my blog... Can you help me?

I don't recall any pink and white background themes. What comes to mind is Bueno. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/bueno/ Be aware that there are many themes that have customizable backgrounds http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/custom-background/ and you can upload a pink and white striped background image to use on any of them.

yes, thanks, i tried searching themes. made many attempts with words like pink, stripes, and vertical but never found the theme. i was hoping that someone would know the theme i meant and rescue me! lol! i even checked out random blogs about cooking, fashion, and housewife topics but still couldn't find the theme. it may have been a theme that has different looks like the *brand new day* theme. i am still looking, i will stumble over it somehow! thanks again, i will try to think of different search words to use.

i chose a theme with pink and white vertical stripes when i started my blog. it was perfect for a few pages, but i did not want to force everyone to feel girly on my entire blog, so i searched and found a neutral theme for most blog pages. i have never been able to find the striped pink and white vertical theme again! does anyone know the name of it? it was about a week ago that i found and lost the pink and white stripes theme, and it is a very common theme for chicks to use. any help is extremely appreciated! pink and white stripes were in regular wordpress.com themes, not the downloadable ones.

Imbalance 2 offers two layout options, fluid and fixed.
Fluid means the width changes according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.
Fixed means the width does not change according to screen resolution (or the width of browser) your visitors use.
