My problem would be solved if I could embed the video using the wordpress shortcode generated by Lockerz.

The shortcode doesn't work. I know that others have experienced similar issues in the past. I've logged a support ticket on the Lockerz site but have yet to receive a response. Maybe there's no ready fix?

Check the list of Videos supported by WordPress.com. Often this is not an issue with WordPress.com as much as the video service not permitting such usage on WordPress.com. Talk to VH1 customer service about adding a WordPress.com shortcode to make the process easier for their fans to embed the videos. Thanks.

I successfully loaded the video to Lockerz (vodpod) and copied the wordpress embed code. Unfortunately, no video was embedded as a result.

Here is the embed code for the video that I'd like to display:

Although it's a bit clumsy, the GIGYA short code worked well for me. Until that breaks, that will be my first approach to embedding video.

I ran with Vodpod for a number of years with great success but now that they have been aquired by lockerz who havent got a scooby about what they are doing and even understand the concept of video I was wondering you you good folks and wordpress had come up with an alternative such as a Daily motion widget or You tube widget that could replace the Vodpod options of the past?

i used an image widget linking to my lockerz video gallery...

yes its a tad primitive and does not allow to see videos online on the blog itself...

but at least if someone its interested he can get to my video gallery

with just a single click...O_O

the WordPress crew probably has a new strategy they have yet to unveil. Hopefully it is sooner than later, as my affected blog is less sticky without the VodPod feature.
