I'm running two websites, one self-hosted and, recently, another with wordpress.com. I was quite shocked to discover that the available wordpress.com themes are not only limited, but the best and most customisable themes are not among them.

Themes such as Suffusion or Weaver are a must. Without highly customisable themes such as these, you're extremely limited in what you can do with wordpress.com hosting.

Now, even if one buys all the upgrades, with self hosting you can do everything you can with wordpress.com and it has a number of advantages that make it more versatile:
- You can use and modify any theme
- You can use plugins
- Fpt access
The only drawback is that it requires a little more technical knowledge. Even when buying the wordpress.com updates you're very limited in what you can do; why not buy self-hosting with the same amount of money?

That's why I believe wordpress.com needs to include the most versatile free themes available. This would increase the appeal of worcpress.com hosting.

Sorry, you need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .

Hello,
The site I am using Weaver on is http://www.rubyharte.com/
I am attempting to hide the page and post titles using the Snippets as suggested:
Hide Page and/or Post Titles
If you don't want your page titles to show, you can use the following snippet:

.page .entry-title{display:none;}
You can do the same for posts with:

.post .entry-title{display:none;}in the advanced options head box between style :

I have put the above code into the Advanced options Head Section thus (with other code that works)

<!-- Add your own CSS snippets between the style tags. -->
<style type="text/css">
#access {-moz-border-radius: 7px; border-radius: 7px;
-webkit-border-radius: 7px;}
#access { text-align:center; }
#access ul{display:inline-block;}
#page .entry-title{display:none;}
#post .entry-title{display:none;}
#comments {display:none;}

</style>

The other codes are working as they should but not this one. Am I doing something wrong?

I very little experience with CSS so far please advise me how to proceed. Thank you

Hi there!
Hope this makes sense - I'm pretty new to wordpress.
I'm setting up http://www.dextarfx.com/ and having a few issues with the spacing in the widget boxes.
Can anyone tell me how to centre the contents of my widgets, or how to adjust the margins on the left and right of the widget containers?
thanks,
Nick
