The codes do work in text widgets and I know that for a fact. You need to use the non-Javascript codes only for both.

We can only use the HTML version (non-Javascript) so be sure you get the correct code. HTML feedjit code for wordpress.com blogs, MySpace, Windows Live Spaces, LiveJournal and Hi5 users > http://feedjit.com/joinimg/
Step 1: Customize It! (Choose your color scheme, widget width, and the maximum number of entries to be displayed.)

You can use the text widget but some types of code get stripped out such as Java Script - so any tracking Widgets need to use the Plain HTML version - many tracking sites offer the Plain HTML version - in some cases you need to ask for the plain version - sorry don't know about who's amung us

I copied the new code from the WAU website and pasted it in the same widget.
