The widgets look untidy and clumped together how can I make it so they are neat?

It looks like you added a background color to one widget and the padding that was acting as a separator before now looks too close to the search widget above it. One possible way to solve that for your site would be to add extra padding below the search widget like this:

Widgets for categories showing in grey text

You can adjust widget category link text color by adding this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

}

Change the 1.5rem and .5rem values as necessary.

I am just wanting to change the spacing between my Widget and it's header, it does not look to aesthetically pleasing. Could you help me with the code for this?

Note that you'll need the Custom Design upgrade in order for the change to take effect, but you can preview things first.

To remove spacing from between widgets in the Adventure Journal theme, start wtih this:

How to do the spacing for a request like this will depend on how large the background image is that you want to put behind the menu. To get you started, here is an example of CSS that will move the menu down below the header image with no background image:

Adventure Journal doesn't have the option I mentioned before, but you can use CSS to hide the entire site title and tagline area like this:

That is making a 2.2em margin space at the bottom of all widgets. You could adjust that number and it would affect all of the widgets. Or, you could add a more specific rule to adjust the bottom margin just for image widgets like this:

.widget_image {
	margin-bottom: 0;
}

I also found this rule in your custom CSS:

.wp-caption {
	background:#fff;
	margin-bottom:1.625em;
	max-width:96%;
	padding:9px;
}

The margin on that rule affects the images with captions in the post content as well as the sidebar, if you wanted to adjust the spacing just for captions in the sidebar and remove the bottom spacing from the rule above, you would add this:

widget_image .wp-caption {
	margin-bottom: 0;
}

So, to remove ALL the extra spacing from the other rules you've already applied and just remove extra spacing from image widgets with captions int he sidebar, add the following:

.widget_image {
	margin-bottom: 0;
}

.widget_image .wp-caption {
	margin-bottom: 0;
}

Note that if this removes too much space, you can just add in some numbers other than zero.
