We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com and we run on different software. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/ If you have not registered a WordPress.org username account yet you can do so on the top right hand corner of the page I just linked to so you can post to those support forums.

Hello, I hope you are having a great night and thank you for taking the time to read about my problem.

I have been working on a variation of the gridalicious theme for a few hours here and have made some modifications to the styles.css. I have dabbled in css before so I wasn't completely lost but the thing that confuses me is (after clearing caches and waiting thirty minutes) it will look right like I think I have it coded but the second you click on anything, a post or the header, it reverts to an old version of the styles.css. This version doesn't have the grey background for each table or article. The website is http://www.career-criminals.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can provide screenshots if you cannot replicate the errors.

Hi. First and foremost, you need to familiarize yourself with the difference between WordPress.com (which is already installed and hosted) and WordPress.org (which you download and install on your own server):

The first time I stumbled across wordpress, it involved downloading a folder of website files that could then be edited, hosted and set up as a website.
Because I needed a site up quickly though, I bought a domain through wordpress and have created a blog through it, working on my bought domain. No download was needed and no tweaking with any code.

Now I want to know if there is anyway to access the files relating to my site,
or whether my blog files were downloaded without me knowing,
or I have dug a hole where I cannot edit anything specifically short of a css editor...

It's frustrating when I read pages describing how others change their website through code, yet I can't find the files described anywhere...
