This is pretty Annoying i uploaded a background image to wordpress.com and i finally got the thing to say "changes have been published" so i was excited ...but it doesn't show up on the regular page please help

NOTE: I do not use the theme customizer. All of the very same functions can be accessed from your dashboard.
Appearance > Header
Appearance > Background
Appearance > Theme Options (applicable only to some themes)
Settings > Reading (set a static front page)
Site Title and Tagline > Settings > General

I have changed the site title under Settings>General, but my static front page still shows up as Bolton FC when it should be FC Bolton. All the other pages show up with the page title|FC Bolton. How do I get the front page to show FC Bolton as well? Thanks

I insert a picture into my post. Click and drag to resize. Preview post, picture is full size. This also shows up if I post, so not just in the preview.

I use the reduce by % buttons. Save picture. Preview post, picture is still full size.

I add a caption to the picture and the picture resizes. But I don't want to add a caption to every picture.

How can I just get a regular picture to resize. Never had this problem until a couple weeks ago when the drag and drop media loader showed up.

I've also tried it on different mobile devices and none off them can load the videos either. But they can run other people's videos even though they have a WordPress website as well.

Hello. My website can be found at http://www.robo13.net and I can't seem to get my YouTube videos to play on my mobile devices (ipad and iPhone).

I can however play other people's YouTube videos from their WordPress websites. So this is why I don't know what is wrong. The videos work fine on my computer but when I test the site on my ipad and iPhone the video will just have the spinning buffering symbol and never play the video.

Please help.

As you can see from my blog - have managed to sticky my first post onto the homepage. However - I've written a second post and want to do the same thing and sticky it, but even though I've checked the box that you need to in order to 'stick' it, and applied a featured image, with an excerpt and everything (exactly the same as the first time), it won't appear on the homepage.

Have tried everything to try get it to come up, including unsticking both posts and retrying, logging off and logging in, accessing the site whilst logged off, comparing the settings of both posts, and still - the only post that will stick to the homepage is the first one. Thinking it might matter if the posts were under different categories, I changed them so they were both under the same category, but again - nothing.

Had it working earlier in the day and now it's just stuck...and even though it says my second post is 'sticky' - it appears no where.

Please help!! Been spending hours on this, trying to get it all up and running.

I went to the blog and saw one video thumbnail of a man in a blue hoodie, same image as larger above it. I clicked on the thumbnail since it had a motion picture camera logo. That took me to the page:

which showed what looks like a live reporter for channel 19. There's a play logo on that one, so I click on that. It now shows two images, both darkened. There is a tiny play button on a small timescale at the bottom of the 2nd image. Clicking on the play button changes it to a pause button (switches button icon) but nothing more. No motion, no sound.

Then I right click on the image, and Firefox does at least recognize there is supposed to be a video here because it gives me video action options. So I choose "View video". It then goes to this URL:

http://videos.videopress.com/FrbQFxfy/reporting-tape_fmt1.ogv

which gives me a "WordPress 404 - File not found." message. There might be an issue with standard def file conversions in the video automated workflow?

One thing for me, though, is I see NO "HD" button at all on any of the steps.

I am running an older Firefox on Ubuntu Linux. It should work OK, though, at least for the files in .ogv (Ogg video container) because that has worked in Firefox since several versions before the one I'm using now (an older machine I have is running Firefox 2.0 which has played this video time for me).

I'm getting the same problem using FF. You're not the only one reporting a problem with Videopress. I suggest you contact staff via the Help button on your dashboard.

One more note. I just got home and realized it's exactly the same on my computer. Only plays if you flip on the HD. So the issue seems to be across the board.

Well, I've been playing around some more with it and if I click the "HD" button (i.e. turn HD on) while it's sitting there on the black background, it starts playing perfectly. If I click the HD button again (turn HD off) while it's playing, it stops and goes back to the black background.

Since I'm new here, I'm not sure if it's obvious what my blog is for people who might want to help. It's:

I just started up my blog on WordPress and I'm trying to use VideoPress to host my videos. I've got one up now, and it plays fine at home on an iMac with Snow Leopard and Safari/Firefox. Plays fine anywhere on my iPhone. But at work on Windows XP and Windows 7 with IE 8 and 9, and at my parents' house on an iMac with Leopard and Safari, once you click through the thumbnail image, it just stays on a black background with the spinning "load indicator."

Here at work, sample VideoPress videos work fine on the same computers, so I'm guessing it's something to do with the files I'm uploading. But I could be totally off on that.

I used HandBrake with the Default profile to create a 720p .mp4 file from an uncompressed file coming out of Final Cut Express.

Hello guys,

I've been working on a blog, adding stuff and just working on it.Today I wanted to access my admin cpanel but it wouldn't load, I tried using the toolbar(from top of page), clicked on Add New, Dashboard, etc.It just won't load the page.
Firefox says the page is loaded but all I see is an white screen, I can only load posts and the homepage.
I've never heard of such a problem, what could of caused it?

I have two pages with slideshows, and a couple pages with pictures. The only browser they show on is Firefox 7.0.1. The latest version doesn't work. No IE version works that I have tested (we mostly have IE8.) I haven't been able to figure this one out. Any and all help is appreciated! This is frustrating.
