I applied to Word Ads 7 weeks ago and haven't received any update other than an auto response email asking me to consult the FAQ. Well, unless one of the FAQs is exactly how MY application is going it's not in there.

I need to position myself to ready for what will be an increase in traffic in the summer when I will be joining a big listing service and want to get used to it all.

By comparison, google adsense, which you won't let me use, responded within 2 days.

Please tell me how my application for thefootballspace.com is coming along.

In addition to turning off all Chrome extensions, I encourage you to have a look at timethief's tips, which justjennifer linked to below. It outlines some things you can try to make sure the advertising gets permanently removed.

I did it again and now it seems the ads are gone --for now.

I have been having a lot of trouble with my computer lately and am going to be doing a restore to the day I purchased the unit. Maybe the laptop has been part of the problem. I guess I will see.

I will certainly will be watching very closely when I download anything for those sneaky add ons the blog post you sent me to mentioned.

Sometimes malicious browser extensions inject ads on a site. Could you please try turning off all browser extensions and add-ons temporarily to see if that solves the issue? If it does, you can then reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

If you post a screenshot in your Media Library I can also have a look.

And then online advertising is really like a stock market with prices rising and falling by the second. Sometimes there is a wind fall where an advertiser pays a premium for site(s) and the next month they don't.
